How did you get your serial number for that base station

The serial number is on the back of the base station (near the power port I believe). Make sure you use the serial number of the malfunctioning base station, as I believe each base station has its own unique number.

man that sucks, Im still using my OG vive base stations with my index. Rock solid for a couple of years now. My valve base stations are still in the box.

Glad to hear your original base stations keep on trucking! Are you going to set up the other base stations and use 4 at once? I've heard some people do that for an even better experience.

@@alzeal I would run them for a bit, before the warranty is up. Some only last a little while before failing, but if you get past that period, they'll last for a super long time.

Yoo the same EXACT thing happened to me!! Steam support is on their shit though I got my replacement base station in 3 days! Sucks to see it happen to someone else too but atleast it’s an easy replacement process!

No worries about the questions! I briefly discussed it in my Valve Index review, but yes I did get to RMA the base station. I received the new unit in about a month after requesting the RMA, though it would have taken less time if I was out of town. After getting it, I haven't had any new problems pop up, so I'd say it's still working well!

This was a while back, but the base station failed 2-3 weeks after receiving the kit. I was able to RMA it, and got a new one that's been working ever since.

I've seen in a channel that is better to keep yours base station turn on all the time instead of turning off. The reason they said is because the starting and stopping the moving parts stress more than keep it moving.

I had it on 24/7 for 3 months, played only 8 times in total, still got a blinking red light in my base station, so looks like it doesn't really matter 😥

It’s okay, the RMA process was surprisingly painless which is redeeming. My specs are: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X GPU: GTX 1080 Ti 11GB RAM: 16GB 3200 MHz MB: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon And some assorted SSD’s and HDD’s

Sadly not yet. FedEx didn’t deliver over the weekend like they said they would, so it had to be delivered while I was out of town 😓 Hoping to finally get it by end of this week!
