Hi Nicholas! I’m a huge fan from Japan and I want to explain about this “Ball chin” thing in Japanese animes. It started in early anime like Hokutonoken:the anime famous for omaewa mou shibdeiru meme and the chin was used a lot from those animes to represent the muscle guy or no brain guy with lot of muscle. It’s also used in modern anime as a comedy looking. So basically it’s like Japanese version of gigachad. Hope this helped your confusion! Pls enjoy more Japanese anime!

Mob Psycho has some of the most satisfying body movement animation i have ever seen. There can be other shows with more fluid animation. But mob perfectly capture the small movement in body, especially in later seasons, Also the final part is one of the best things i have seen in years

31:22 That crazy fight scene is animated by the legendary Yutaka Nakamura one of the most influencial animators ever, he's literally the godfather of action animation and the one who pioneered those cube debris (Yutapon Cubes) that a lot of anime fights scenes use today! he also worked on OPM s1's Saitama vs Boros and many other anime but he mainly works for Bones now with the My Hero Academia team.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the patches on their arm is common to have as a member of the student council in Japan. So basically, they have those because they are student council members. EDIT: I would also like to add that when a character has dimples it is just to tell the viewer that dimple is inside of them or controlling them, but the other characters in the show can't actually see them.

this level of amazing animation is what is called sakuga There are entire communities dedicated to sharing, analyzing and gushing about examples of sakuga in different anime, usually on big fight scenes, and popular shonen shows usually have a lot of it (such as Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia and many many others) But the sakuga in Mob just hits different, and is one of the best in the entire industry, imo

ooooh my god, I love that episode 6 immediately jumps into Reigen being chaotic... I absolutely love Reigen because he's really the only person who could help these people. I mean, these are people who are convinced that their problems are paranormal... and Reigen actively looks shady as hell. if these people are going to seedy knockoff lookin psychics like him, they're either really gullible or really desperate... or both. any other fake psychic would swindle them out of all their money, and a real psychic would turn them away because their problems aren't paranormal at all. but weird as it may seem, Reigen does help them in a way that only he can. he'll provide the service of being the best fake psychic you could ask for, while providing the type of help that his clients probably wouldn't accept _unless_ he was pretending to be a psychic. and the thing is... if you're going to pretend to be a psychic, then your real biggest tool is reading people and figuring them out. Reigen is incredibly good with people, and he has to be, because he does actually solve something that's genuinely wrong in his clients' lives each time. this is the exact skill that Shigeo needs to learn. also, I think it's so brilliant to have Ritsu in the mix too. Ritsu _seems_ like he's Shigeo's inverse... that's how they set him up, as a kid who has all the practical skills that Mob lacks, while Mob has all the natural psychic abilities that Ritsu covets. but Shigeo and Ritsu are actually very alike because they have similar anxieties about measuring up to something... even something they've only imagined for themselves. I also really love how, when Teru shows up in front of Ritsu, he could've just been the same old asshole... but Mob really made him see the light, and now he's basically on board with the idea that psychic powers don't make you special or superior. and that acts as sort of foreshadowing for the fact that Mob and Ritsu really are not on the same page right now. Reigen is key in helping Shigeo develop into the kind of person he wants to become, and Teru completely reformed himself to be the person he is now after encountering Shigeo, so the fact that Ritsu doesn't respond well to either one of them is a huge indicator that he and Shigeo are thinking very differently. but the most important part, through all of this, is that Shigeo 100% cares about Ritsu. from the time that Ritsu witnessed Shigeo's powers going crazy when they were kids, Ritsu always felt like he and Shigeo would never be equals unless he could have psychic powers too... he'd always worry, in the back of his mind, about this power that Shigeo technically has over him. but this ignores all the self discipline that Shigeo has built up since then... and all the love he feels for Ritsu, to the point where that's the only thing that can break it. Shigeo can withstand all sorts of stress from other people, but he will not let anything bad happen to his brother. for that purpose, he'll use his abilities to their fullest.

31:45 that is one of the best of Yutaka Nakamura animation, if you saw Yutaka Nakamura animate it you can clearly know this episode fight scene would be absolutely incredible (he's one of the guy who animated the Boros fight)

Dude just letting you know, the show just ended, like completely finished, absolutely done deal, and here I am again, calling it peak fiction, but very different from other kinds of peak fiction (this gonna be a long one lol and no spoilers) And what a journey it has been for me, I don't think this has happened before but I was there when it first released, that was my first time ever watching a simulcast anime and even anime as anime in general lol then a year later I watched it *properly*, already loved it back then, then came season 2 out of nowhere, and holy shit that was the season of absolute peak while I was in my worst situation of life ever, felt a lot of self-negative thoughts (better not to share), but watching Mob helped me through that time, that was a first for me, I cried so much when the season ended cuz it just got me through so much and I have to say goodbye, I then read the manga and boy can ONE write, and even draw when he gets serious, after about 2 years of that, season 3 news came and I was stoked, it's a perfect end to a series that all about self improvement and connecting with people, Mob Psycho 100 has ended but it'll live on forever in our hearts, one of the very few anime I have only seen universal love for, even the animators love the anime the most probably lol

Some shows they did which are personal favourites of mine are darker than black, soul eater and fullmetal alchemist. Don’t feel bad for getting emotional about this anime. This is one anime that gets pretty much everyone emotional. Those armbands that the student council Vice President is wearing is something they wear at schools in Japan. It’s to show their position in the Student Council. Also yes, Mob is a great protagonist ^^ Oh yeah I don’t know if you noticed later, but Teruki actually had changed from when we last met him. He was warning Ritsu about relying on his powers too much and that he shouldn’t be doing that. You know like Teru was doing before meeting Mob. I don’t know if you were joking about skipping to the last episode if you get enough likes, but in case you weren’t, I really recommend not doing it. All the impact from the finale won’t hit as well if you do. Once again, I’m sure you were joking about doing that but just in case, I wanted to give you a heads up about it.

Mob psycho is one of my favorites of all time. It's really nice to see someone who gets the brotherly dynamic so much, because that was really impactful for me too! Also, some fun side notes: mob psycho was written after one punch man, so you could probably say that one punch man inspired mob psycho instead of vice versa! And the fact that Mob gets beat up so often during the fight with koyama and his percentage doesn't go up at all. But the TWO times koyama hurts his brother, Mobs percentage IMMEDIATELY jumps 50 percent. It's just so sweet

please dont skip to the last episode, a lot of what makes this show so good (besides what you touched on already) is the fact that the events of the story change the characters and their dynamics with other characters. youll be missing out on the emotional growth of all the characters, and the wonderful story that caused this growth.
