I don't usually make mistakes, but this one was one of the BIGGEST mistakes I've ever made and at the same time - the most simple to get fixed! I had no idea that one wrong step in the planning could end up putting my world into darkness! Enjoy!

Glad you got it sorted out, belt management on several floors is a pain in the ass.. One trick I sometimes use is to place a temporary container at one end and fill it with a random type of material, like plates och leaves or whatever, and then do this for each belt with a different kind of material. The belts then fill up with these and makes them much easier to distinguish while setting up the logistic floor.

i think you made you life harder by this manifold approach. Packager->refiney->un-packager. These 3 i use in a close loop. I construct canisters, place 100 of them in the first packager and then connect the un-packager to packager - close loop of 100 canisters filling up and being empty

I just put in series of splitters and mergers until everything can freely go to whatever needs more resources. Often with overflow logic, so I can prioritize.

I think i heard you say that you sinking extra empty canisters. From your video it looks like you have 6 sublines. I suggest that you make each subline a closed loop and once you have enough canisters in the loop, then you should not need to make new ones or sink them. I had a simliar setup before. I also learned that you can not oversaturate the lines with canisters or everything backs up, so it is a balancing act.

This is exactly how it works. Every line is an independent semi-closed loop with an overflow guard. So I could feed a billion canisters and nothing would get backed up... slightly over-engineered but works 🤷‍♂️
