Van Der Graaf Generator - Pilgrims is a song that I think you truly impress you with its magic. Its truly an experience and still sounds fresh to this day, even though, it came out in 1976 and I think you would really appreciate the drumming/beat of the entire song throughout the highs and lows of it

Majority of these songs are great and were fantastic recommendations for Alex!! Personally, I am a HUGE fan of Spiritbox. Of all songs that could have been pulled from them, “Holy Roller,” hits much of the solid ground guitar riff and vocal wise..but doesn’t quite emulate and capture the entirety, sound mix and overall best tones of Spiritbox. “Yellowjacket” or “Angel Eyes,” from their The Fear of Fear EP, I think would have been better to showcase. But “Holy Roller” is really such a hard-hitting, awesome song!! 🤘🏼

1. I'm suprised you haven't heard Rush's "Tom Sawyer". It's their most famous song! 2. "Pardon Me, I Have To Go" is my favourate Hanabie song (and probably thier most popular) 3. Spiritbox's latest album is solid. And they did a remake of this song with Ryo, the former singer of Crystal Lake that's even heavier in teh breakdown. I suggest 'Jaded' and 'Circle With Me' from them.
@jamieward80093 ай бұрын
Even if they aren't popular enough to post on your channel, give 'Funeral For A Friend' a try; either Roses for the Dead, Escape Artists Never Die, Red is the New Black [album version], All the Rage or Broken Foundation. Even though BFMV have so many bangers (of which I hoped you'd do more reactions to, as loved the ones you did), FFAF have always edged as my favourite band, something about their style(s) was just unique and addictive - 'post hardcore' genre.

Most of this video reminded me of my mom telling me in the 80's that everything I listened to sounded the same to her. I retorted by saying, "Well, The Beatles and all the others sound the same to me!" After decades of being a guitarist and interested in all genres of music, I get the nuances. Every period of popular music started with a pioneering band. Elvis, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Nirvana... Everyone in those eras wanted to sound like them and eventually everything started to sound similar. I'm 51 now but lost touch with popular music in the mid 2000's. I was never sure who the pioneering bands were to put a perspective to it all. So, now, I've turned into my mother. I appreciate the effort of some of these bands that I feel "sound the same", but I have no idea where the sounds originated. Anybody feel up to explaining it to me?
@LordBaktor7 ай бұрын
I'm ten years behind you in terms of age and I am on your same boat. I can dig a song or two from a new band or two but have no idea of the context, who they are influenced by, who they sound like, etc. My deep musical knowledge cuts off after the 90's and some early 00's stuff.

Pure Shores By The All Saints Line Up By Aerosmith (On Ace Ventura Pet Detective Movie. Greatest Jim Carey Movie ever imo). Black Coffee By The All Saints Linkin Park -=- In The End Likin Park - Numb Blinding Lights by The Weekend. A PERFECT song for GTA if you play that game and wouldn't be suprised if it's on Grand Theft Auto 6. No Easy Way Out By Robert Tepper Mr brightside By The Killers Waiting -=- Not Forgotten Concert For Aliens By Machine Gun Kelly So Far Away By Staind. This gets me motivated when I'm working out in the gym , especially as someone on youtube did a tribute to the bodybuilder Jay cutler with this song , aswell as other youtubers doing tributes with this song for legend and icon American Pro wrestlers Mick Foley and Eddie Guerrero. It's called So Far Away By Staind. Five Colours In Her Hair By Mcfly
