Can a human survive by consuming only fruits? What would happen to your mood and wellness? No processed food, no vegetables, no meat. Exclusively fruit.
A diet that consists entirely of fruit is called fruitarianism. If you follow this diet, you can eat sweet fruit and fruit with seeds (cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, avocados, and so on). Some people also say that you can allow yourself some seeds and nuts every now and then. But after choosing this way of life, you'll have to say no to cooked food and grains and avoid animal products. Naturally, you'll have to say no to all those delicious things like pizza, cakes, and French fries. How does that sound? Are you ready to give such a diet a try?

SUMMARY:
- On the first day, I felt surprisingly full! At the same time, I had to visit the bathroom a few too many times. It seemed to me that all these slippery fruits simply slid through my digestive system.
- However, on the second day, I didn't feel so great anymore. My insides were still writhing, and I felt a bit bloated. I also started to feel pretty hungry, and I began to worry that I was possibly consuming too much sugar.
- On the third day, I wanted something more than my usual fruit. It could have been something really simple like a piece of bread or a small bowl of plain rice! To tell you the truth, I couldn't fight this temptation and ate several canapés.
- On the fourth day, I felt hungry for something unhealthy (like a slice of pizza!). Besides, I had a big problem with bloating, and strange sounds kept coming from my stomach.
- On the fifth day, I went to bed early. I didn't feel well at all. My stomach was still churning, I still visited the bathroom too often, and I had a constant nagging feeling of hunger.
- I came to the conclusion that fruitarianism isn't for me. However, I have heard about people who follow this diet and feel great and healthy. This probably depends on some personal peculiarities.
- Dietitians recommend adopting a diet that consists entirely of fruit slowly and carefully. If you've decided that eating only fruit is your cup of tea, watch the transition closely so that you can stop it if you feel unwell.
- Some fruits, for example, apples and bananas, are great probiotics. They help improve your digestion by feeding useful gut bacteria.
- Fruits contain fiber, and the fermentation from this fiber results in the overall health of your gut - your body absorbs all the nutrients more effectively.
- If you eat only fruit, you’ll have lower cholesterol, fewer problems with your cardiovascular system, and healthy blood pressure.
- Fruits are packed with sugars. Even though they're in their natural forms, these sugars lead to spikes in blood sugar levels. Such spikes have an influence on the production of insulin.
- You may feel constantly hungry because your body digests the carbohydrates in fruits too quickly. As a result, you have to eat bigger portions.
- Interestingly, despite consuming a lot of vitamin A and provitamin A carotenoids, due to the shortage of fats in your diet, your body can't absorb them.

This diet help to clear my psoriasis. People don't realize that eating only fruit doesn't mean eat a few fruits during the day. It means eat 5 bananas instead of one, eat 2 mangoes and 3 apples etc. This video doesn't even come close to explaining what fruititarianism is and is a complete waste of your time

I went 3 weeks eating only fruit and nuts. I ended up losing 23 pounds. It was actually pretty easy considering I was already a vegetarian. Time to go back on it apparently.

@@dmartha3850 I would recommend slowly going back to a balanced meal, on the first day only change dinner then lunch and breakfast. Keep exercising!

Those 'bad symptoms' was a healing crisis. You dont stop when you get unwell, you keep going. Fruit has fructose (natural sugar) not processed sugar. Fruit diet cures almost everything and is very beneficial

I tried doing 1 meal of only fruit. I had 2 kiwis, 1 Apple, 1 orange, & 1 cup of blueberries. My teeth have never been in so much pain. I used to drink Dr Pepper every day & eat spaghetti 5x a week & they never caused this much pain. I don’t think I’m ever eating fruit again. I can’t believe after just 1 fruit meal I feel like I ruined my teeth. I hope they recover from this.

@@MeltemBee On the exact day that I decided to eat a bunch of fruit? I stopped drinking sodas months ago & never had any pain until the exact moment I decided to eat only fruit. This was just 1 fruit meal. Went away after about 3 days of no fruit. Haven’t had any pain since then.

I think the "story" happened, but it was so Misleading, right... You can say, "I ate only fruit for 5 days but then say (honestly, at least) "I cheated"... that defeats the whole purpose of the planned experiment, We Were All Looking Forward To Results Of An Honest 100% Trail of just fruit... 🤦‍♀️ what's that called... Just 5 days is not enough time for your body to adjust to the change in diet. After about 2 weeks you should be adjusted to new diet.

Yes I will tell you the reason of constant bathroom intervals it's because our intestines carry a lot of waste than you can imagine which could be as old as a month so when you go on a fruit diet you body starts cleansing itself ❤️

I did this for two weeks, had no pain in my gut, headache first few days, a lot of fatigue and muscles loss weight loss too but I could concentrate and that helped me pass my music exams!!!

I just finished 31 days of high watery fruits only! The first few days detox symptoms after that I felt fantastic!!! Lost weight and inches, clarity, energy and great mood! Definitely a wonderful detox!

I'm on day 4. I've literally only ate apples bananas and an occasional orange when I'm craving something other than water. When I started on Monday I weighed 229. My weight today was 217.6 I do 45 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill everyday so a lot of that is water weight. But even after rehydrating I'll only go up to about 220. So I'm loving the results. I'm interested to see if I can will myself to go longer than the 5 days.

I am Indian and in India it's normal to only only fruits in festivals for 10 days. So, I am also doing it and it's been 6 days and I feel very light and my skin is glowing and also I have lost 3kgs till now. 4 days more to go.

I've done that during spring and summer one year when there's more fruits to choose from in the store. My "only fruits" also consists of berries. coconut milk(added in homemade smoothies) as it comes from a fruit, avacadoes(added in smoothies) and no tomatoes, grains, nuts or vegetables. Then after the summer (fall) I also eat veggies and nuts because I can't live on only apples, pears, bananas and oranges *sigh* After a week, personally I don't find it to be difficult anymore. And I feel waaaay bettef

@@agustdoutsold344 Hm. I didn't do it to lose weight, just for my overall health and well being. I didn't keep track of my weight, but I always notice some slimming of my arms and cheeks, but that might very much be a result of my hightened activity levels during warmer seasons too. I'm 167 and around 56kg, so weight has nothing to do with the diet change during summer 😅 It wouldn't be considered very healthy if I lost alot of weight.

We are Frugavoures, they eat fruit, nuts seeds and some veg. It's an electric diet. We must eat fruit early morning, then lunch with salad and such things then cooked dinner at night within a certain window of time. Humans true diet. Fruit they contain the purest water available. We are mineral built therfore need mineral electric foods. These foods are what earth originally created not hybrid man made.

As a vegan I tried to transition to 'fruit-only diet' but switched back to vegan diet only after 1 month, because I started experiencing constant lightheadedness / low blood pressure (detox symptoms). But I am grateful for the decision because it was during the 1 month “hydrating fruits only diet” that I experienced serious detox, and had my autoimmune disorder healed. I will repeat it once every year for health maintenance

you are absolutely right, our bodies are different so we react differently to each diet. No wonder I couldn't strive on a fruitarian diet. But 1 belief I have is that fruitarian diet is the ultimate detoxification diet, & off course detox is the true way to heal@@JBRich1

That's fantastic you're a vegan! I'm close to being one but not quite.. for instance, I make veggie bacon and cheese sandwiches in a skillet fried in clarified butter, the cheese is vegan at least..lol..

You should have tried one meal- fruits...! The problems are people tend to overdo things and reach innappropriate conclusion in life. And check your daily sleep quota And your overall health over the course of time. Have a great day...!

Beginning any diet will make you feel bloated and fatigued, but it’s important to stick with the diet for at least a week because that’s how long it takes your body to adjust.

When I was a kid I used to eat only watermelons in the summer, I felt so great and I could have eaten only watermelons for the rest of my life but my parents were against it and force me into meat and I was just thinking how great would it be to eat just fruits and now this video is like a deja vu.... I tried so many diets, vegetarian, vegan, and I think fruits are the best cause what you cook are dead foods and fresh fruits make you feel alive....

I do a berry fast about every 10 days. I eat nothing but blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries during the day. I drink 8 to 12 glasses of water. I'm a diabetic and my blood sugar drops in spite of eating big bowls of these fruits.

I slowly started eating mainly fruits, nuts and vegetables and i feel really good now and my body is happy and healthy. Even tho i let myself eat other things when i want to. Diet should never be too strict.

I’ve eaten only fruit for months. No negative effects, but not necessary a big wow of health benefits either. Incorporating fish, veggies, chicken and non gluten carbs are my best bet.

I didn’t go on a fruit diet but i went on a all raw diet for a week straight (no cooked foods, no meats, no foods with added sugars, no salt) just fruits, vegetables, nuts, and raw fish and the first couple days I was eating a lot and still starving and the 3rd day I woke up the amount Of energy I had when I woke up was insane, I slept much better, mind was much more clearer throughout the day, and the craziest thing was the dreams I had in my sleep I felt way more involved? If that makes sense? After the 3rd day my body had adjusted to the amount of food intake and i wasn’t starving all day like the first couple of days. I ended up losing 10 lbs in one week. Then After the first week I’ll never forget I went to get a chicken sandwich from McDonald’s and when I took a bite out of it my face cringed because it was EXTREMELY SALTY. (Mind you Mcchickens were my go to sandwich I would eat 1 at least every week). I recommend anybody to try a diet like this at least once, a minimum of a week at least! It’s a really good thing to experience!

I am 12 and have to eat only fruits and vegetables for 2 weeks than I have to bring protein into my diet for another 4 weeks. DISCLAIMER I do fighting and have to lose 10 kilos for March which is next month I have medical and take vitamins and I wouldn’t do it unless I’m fit and healthy so my health is fine.

A few years back I tried only fresh uncooked fruits and vegetables for 1 month. On day 11 I was hallucinating about RICE, and called it quits. If I eat 6 eggs a week I can easily go without meat, but I need some real carbs to keep going.

Bloating is just consequence of changing eating habits, after some time the bloating disappars, it all depends how poluted your body is. For me it would take more than half year because i have low PH level.

Yep. I just went through the same thing a few days ago. I was drinking warm lemon water every morning and cut out meat. I eat and drink HORRIBLY, so my detoxing symptoms were ridiculous! lol

Anything that restrictive sounds unrealistic. A balanced diet will always win out because your body needs lots of different nutrients. I think a vegan diet including vegetables would be much more beneficial and sustainable

Remember, when going on a fruit fast you need a VAST variety of fruits. I visit my local international market to get fruits that are not found in regular grocery stores. Also, look up "vegetables that are really fruits" to have more variety!

I generally skip evening meals with mixed fruits salad (like cucumber, watermelon, carrot, red cabbage mixed with little black salt) since last few days. I had food poison 3 days ago and had frequent visit to bathroom all night. I then only stick to fruit salad for 2 days. I felt much better and now I am returning to blend food this morning.

I suggest you tht don't do full deit on fruit bc everyone has different bodies doesn't have same bodies and some get's results and some of them doesn't get results so I suggest tht do diet like --- Exercises is important too! If u do exercise then it's much better u will get fast results like yoga, aerobic and to get fast results then u can do cardio workout! 1.wake up early in morning drink apple cider vinegar with warm water or if u think tht u don't get taste or taste is weird then u can add some of honey into it! Or if u don't hve apple cider vinegar then u can usually drink as warm water or u can put lemon and honey in warm water! And remember tht u should drink tht with empty stomach! So u will get results otherwise u won't! 2. Then next after drinking tht take break and eat after 12:00 clock like u can eat vegetables but eat slowly and eat into small pieces! 3. Then after finishing ur lunch then u can take snacks as ur fruits like watermelon if u hve or u can take papya,apple, or pear! But take at 4:00 clock! 5. Then don't eat anything afterwards or if u want u can take a warm water before sleep..... 7. And sleep early! Like at 10:00 clock or 9:00 clock bc sleep is important!! Its my 12th day of food diet and i did not find any weekness even i feel more energized yes i lose wait of 10kg i was 73 and now 63 but the result i get is surprisingly on disease called auto immune Psorasis... I find it disappearing daya by day with medicine and I am really happy although i drink green guice daily twice with varies of fruites..

The key is also not too mix certain fruits together.,5 days is not enough time to try it out. The first 8 days will get body aches, headaches and very lethargic . If you can get past those days you will succeed.

This was a good watch but the bad thing done is making smoothies, as you blend all the fruit in the morning leaving your stomach less to digest and the reason she got hungry quicker.

You missed it just when you were about to start reaping the benefits. That’s on day 3. The first two days your body is fighting back but on day 3 it kind of let go a little bit and you start to feel better. By day 4 you will be healing your gut. Yes all those cravings are in your gut. You will be able to tell us a better outcome if you stayed through till day 5.

I eat mostly fruits and vegetables and I may have some rice or pasta once or twice during the week mosy my diet consists of lots of vegetables I love them. I don't eat much meat maybe once a month I will have a piece of chicken or maybe a little bit of fish. I like fruits and nuts and vegetables and Grains I usually have a piece of toast with peanut butter on it in the morning or Cream of Wheat mixed with fruit. Or an egg over easy on toasted Pumpernickel rye bread

When I was about 42, I ate only fruit for 7 1/2 months. At the beginning I ate a lot of it and became bloated and gassy, but I felt great anyway. By about 3 months, I had lost weight and had no more bloatedness, and I also felt great. The thing that surprised me most was that I ended up eating less fruit because I was getting enough nutrients apparently, so my budget went way down and I found myself saving more and more money. By about six months, I found myself eating more avocado, more bananas and more coconut, and still lost weight, still pay less in general, for food and clothes, and still felt great. By about 7 1/2 months, I was starting to lose my hair at the crown, And when I did finally stop eating fruit I was finding myself having a desire for vegetables - such as cabbage. I stopped because of family issues, or I would have still continued on and probably regained my hair at the crown - I don’t know for sure.

I did do it. Was tough at 1st as I have job and all. So I added 2 slices of bread too in between.. Rest of the day all fruits and vegetables... Else I had a bad headaches or feared a fainting.. On the 2nd week now.. Starting to lose weight

You did not go 5 days on fruit only you even had oil on your food. But if you eat only fruit at around day 5 your body starts detoxifying and you feel bad. if you keep going you would never have problems with your blood sugar as you imply, on the contrary if you are diabetic you will get well and you might even be able to stop your insulin shots. If you eat avocados and nuts you would never go deficient . Fruits contain enough nutrients to sustain life on itself.
