some advice. If you're battling a Pokémon in a rom hack always make sure to look up its learnsets in case it could have a threatening move for your Pokémon (I noticed there were a few deaths due to that throughout). Great video, would love to see more like it in the future

although to be fair its not always healthy to be paranoid about every coverage move its just good to consider potential coverage before you make your move

Awesome to see that you played this! One thing I did notice that you didn't mention (don't know if you knew) about the calm/average/tough routes is that calm routes have less item pickups and lower quality items while tougher routes have more item pickups with more chance of higher quality items. Glad to see you got lucky with the species charm though, some of them are really bad! My first charm was that I was limited to a party of 5 (my run died shortly after that)! 🤣 You did very well getting to the Elite 4 on your first run though, this is a very hard game. If you plan on playing it more, go to the safari zone. You can only keep one Pokemon from your time there (the last one you catch) but different types show up in different areas and if you have caught a shiny it's guaranteed to show up for you and you can catch it again, put it in your box, and use it as a starting Pokemon on future runs.

Winona was nuts, Growlithe Is a favourite shiny of mine! But yea they had to go 😅 And with the Mew and the Latias switching, I think they were both choiced, and neither had a good move to hit Arm, so the ai was being weird. Nice run, and excellent animation:)

Technically there is a box, it's in the hub and it allows you to choose what pokemon you use to start your adventures with, you can catch pokemon in the unlockable safari zone to make them potential starters (pokemon that you catch throughout your adventures will appear in the safari zone), you haven't fully lost Golden because since you caught a shiny Growlithe, the Growlithe in the safari zone will be shiny

There is technically a box but it's only in the hub, it allows you to switch your starting pokemon once you unlock the safari zone in the hub, the safari zone allows you to catch pokemon that you've caught before, it'll even let you catch shinies, so since you caught a shiny growlithe, you'll be able to find shiny growlithe in the safari zone
