The bit with Tony and the "say yes" routine is a classic salesman's trick. If you think about most sales pitches, they start out with questions or propsals where you are most likely to answer "yes" or some form of agreement. Usually this winds up being several questions in a row. Repetition of agreement or positive answers has a psychological effect designed to make one more susceptible and receptive to the overall proposal. The same with the pumping music and festive atmosphere. Whenever you encounter that, understand you are about to be played hard.
@presidentresident2 жыл бұрын
Yup, the classic yes ladder on steroids. Not just yes but "YES!" repeated over and over and becoming strongly bonded to all those positive chemicals that your body will be pumped full of from doing all that movement. Its diabolical. Its amazing how much respect I used to have for Robbins because he includes a few very critical psychological principles in his early work. But him teaming up with a proven outright scam artist while doing this??...I don't see how he isn't a 'pro-social' sociopath. Id REALLY be surprised if a diagnostic didn't reveal that he was.

Dean & Tony's sales events are so calculated, it's pretty interesting to follow for breaking down. It's all a manipulation of people's emotions into getting them to buy in to whatever they're selling at the end. They have to use 5 days of "FREE" to sell because the product alone wouldn't sell without it.

Hillarious - my partner and I did a previous version of this a couple of years back (during lockdown) - like you we made it to the end (barely). However, we also saw this event and thought...."we might get a nugget or two, so it's worth some time". We managed about an hour before we saw where it was going. When I first saw this video, I couldn't believe that someone called out "The Big Man 😁", but as I continued to watch the video - I found myself getting more and more annoyed (whilst laughing) at the fact - I had been had (almost twice). It's a real shame because I think a lot of what TR does is extremely smart and can give people a kick up the a*$e, but the "FREE" stuff...well, I've learned my lesson (maybe). What you guys have put together is not only hilarious, it's brilliant journalism that hopefully will help a few vulnerable people put their time and efforts into a better path. Well done everyone - keep up the great work.

Five days of hot blah, twelve hours... but after ALL THAT, if you REALLY wanna know how to turn your life around, buy the product. Give us a thousand dollars, because we need more yachts. This is all just a repulsive wealth distribution from the very bottom all the way up to the top. There's even a word for it: dupery. The thing is, as far as entrepreneurial content, Awaken the Giant by Robbins really isn't that bad. It's got some (I didn't say all) substance to it. I'd actually recommend it as a top 10-15 book. It was written in like 1991! You can grab some actual nuggets of real tangible ideas from these guys (or gals) but you have to hit it up early on. 20-30+ years down the road they become used car salesmen.
