One tip, at least in the UK is to watch out for jewellers or pawn shops who sell gold coins/small bars. Before the last rise 4 months ago some of them didn't move their prices. In fact the price I bought it looked as if they hadn't changed them for months before that. I picked up a few fractional bars and coins at below spot. Also some of the 'old school' more collector shops don't move prices as much..

I really like them, but after finding this Utube stack community, I began to wonder if I'd been slid a fake along the way. I really want a sygma. Pro Mini, copy that. Would the mini work with an Android phone or non-apple laptop? Love that old-school, pen and paper ledger of your fractional buys. After changing my future buying strategies a half dozen times or so since I have been watching stacking videos, I think next week's strategy will be like yours. I like the fractional challenge idea. I bought 600 rounds of .223 ammo for my AR-15 I have a NATO 5.56 barrel with a 1:7 twist. Of course I got the 55 grain rounds. Do you think it matters getting light rounds for that twist of a barrel.

55gr XM177 is what we used forever in 1/7 twist barrels. I wouldnt go any lighter. I have 77gr MK262 for when the zombies rise from the dead.

I bought some in the 25 gram bundles and some singles. I have about 60 so far but the premium is so high I quit buying them. If we ever have to use them like money it will be much easier to have small gram bars than it will to have one ounce coins. Plus make sure you have silver and you should be o.k. on the money front.

The only way a full ounce pays off is if you have the money to buy a full ounce. Saving for one never pays off. At some point in time the fracs will be on sale and if you buy a couple of them, you will have already flipped the numbers. Especially with the 1/4oz. Even if prices were coming down...I would still rather pick up a frac every month and lower my average every month doing it. Some is always better than none. Including grams. Spot this high, I may finish the year with grams. I'm a rewards buyer. $50 in rewards doesn't help much when a 1/4 oz is pushing $675. But $50 of rewards on a $100 gram is half price and Gold for under $1600 oz. I like that idea. Yes I could save the rewards, but why? The point is saving for a ounce doesn't work.

I can test through 100oz bars with the external bridge. The 1000oz COMEX bars are too thick to fit under the sensor. 2 inches is the maximum thickness that will fit under the bridge. Most people wont pay the $2500 for the one I have, so they buy the $1100 one that only measures surface resistivity.
