I bought a 2003 Honda 400ex for $350

This thing is rough. The saying "you get what you pay for" really does hold true in this poor 400ex, but I honestly thing I didn't do bad on this deal. With the purchase price so low, if I had to I could strip it down and part it out. BUT THAT IS NOT THE PLAN!!!!! I want to build a really nice 400ex and I thing this is a good starting point. I have Ideas that consist of a great trail/ mx style quad, but I want to know what yall want to see. Let me know what yall thing in the comments below. Thanks again for watching, yall are the best. Hey Jesse, looks like another great opportunity. I’m a fan of starting stock and then seeing what features you add based on your experience with the machine. I keep the engine stock stage 2 hot cam big gun header K&N air filter get the carb jetted stock gearing

never say no to a good deal. but a frame with the engine in a box is above my skills (for now) but i got a warrior 350 for 500€ that didnt start, just needed a one way starter bearing. it runs now but it has 4 slicks of different brands a shot rear suspension i think. im probably gonna throw some ttyres on it and resell it i already have a road legal raptor 350. i do love the warrior look but that thing has been USED and not in the moood to make it fresh. make it run make it look pretty and resell :) it has a full crd exhaust system that probably worth more then the quad. :) its the only part that looks nice on the quad lol

It's all just nuts and bolts brother, I'm sure eventually you'll find one that is a complete basket case and put it all back together the way it should be 👍 and I hear ya man, I had an old yamaha tri moto 200e shaft drive that when I got it the only thing that was realistically good on it was the engine but by the time I sold it it looked fairly decent (still didn't have rear brakes) 🤣 but they are all works in progress

@@JessePelkey1 i will get there. Am trying to find a cheap blaster to rebuild my self. I do have a Honda trx300ex in parts the head cylinder piston are off but i need to find the motivation to put it together and sell it. It was cheap 450€ with license plate and papers. I had so many cheap things but once i lose interest its hard to get going. I had Yamaha tdr125 but never touched it and just sold it 2 year later for 100€ profit (don't have a bike license anyway) i will get there but i need a garage and work table.. All my mechanic i do is outside in the leaves and dirt... So not really motivates me to start a engine rebuild

@@JessePelkey1 every project is a work in progress till you don't progress anymore. I had my bmw e36 318i for 8 years in my garden with the mindset of I will fix it.. Never did and sold it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
