Check fuel mileage after 1,000 miles then 5,000 miles. We noticed a big difference in our break-in experience with our 23 Timberline explorer. I changed the oil at 4,000 miles the first time. Much better after the 1st thousand miles then better yet after 1st service.

"Expect to pay 10 to 20 grand more, if you can find it". I literally called up 3 dealers today, they all had at least 1 in one color or another, and their MSRP. So I "ordered" a pepper red one for 57k. Wow, such a markup, wow so hard to find......

The RR is awesome but $80000 plus Canadian is outrageous to me especially when I can get a fully loaded Colorado ZR2 for $65000. I know it's probably more fun to drive with the 3.0 V6 but the price difference is a bit much.

"Where do you want us to go in this truck?" I would say your testing grounds in Eastern WA. is pretty bad ass. Moses Lake would be a fantastic place for this truck to open up and run the way it was meant to. No scratchy trees around ya. Perhaps Tahuya. Capital Forest has some good power line spots. Elbe Hills would be a challenge, but it has some tight, narrow trails. Seems it has really changed for more custom mades than street rigs now. Douglas Creek would be a nice drive/road trip for you. Scenic and when you get there, there are areas that would be fun to test out your articulation. Just a few ideas for local trips.

I just did this in my Ranger FX4. Turns out it needs 33" tires, a lift, and better armor. Fords armor doesn't cover the brackets that hold the lower control arms. There was some pretty big off camber sections that would have made me nervous with a higher CG though. PS: Those brackets stack down and are going to take hits.

Seems like a great truck!! My one issue with the F150 Raptor is its size. It is going to collect a lot of AZ pinstripes, and it’s a pain in parking lots. The Ranger Raptor seems to be a perfect size for off-roading. Can’t wait to see further reviews after its broke in. My knock against this is the lockers being in a touch screen. I wish they had their own physical switches/buttons. The more you have to use touch screens the more distractions you have as you toggle the screens and try to read what’s what. A simple button is better in my opinion. Does it have trail turn assist? That would be a great feature to have.

Honestly the GMC canyon AT4X interior and exterior styling look way better. The only reason I'm still waiting for my Raptor is because of the turbo V6 3.0 over the 2.7l 4 cylinder in the Canyon. I wished GMC still have the older V6 with a factory pro-charger.

Watch some of the 24x7 offroad Aussie guys to get some guts with your offroading. As one who owns a fully modified PowerWagon with all King suspension (and far more) I had to develop some 'guts' for offroading as well. Sounds like clearance side to side is a huge trigger for you. ANother thing I had to learn, and you appear to need the same, is LEFT OFF THAT BRAKE PEDAL BRO. The locerr and 4WD will slow you down plenty fast enough.

I'm a little confused on the dimensions with that bed. If its 44.8 how can it hold a sheet of plywood flat when a sheet of plywood would be 48 inches across/wide? Maybe it's a 48.4 in wide? 🙂 That plastic gas tank cover / guard is looking kind of hinky in the video. If you look at the corner towards the center of the car it looks like it's wobbling /bouncing up and down when you touched it... Could it be that flimsy it almost looks like the bolts that are supposed to be mounting it to the car are missing from that inside Edge of it?... Might want to look into that...

weird question. rc cars have a speed controller and when the truck hits an obstacle, it auto gives it power and controls how much power is used to maintain the same rate of speed that was being inputted by the throttle. I hear in your reviews to get over obstacles, of course you have to give it a little more throttle, but wondering if there is some speed control for full size trucks.

Get a screen protector and get some horse hair interior brushes for the dust and dirt for your screens and gauge cluster. And any piano black. It will not scratch them but it will dust them off nicely. I us them all the time

Drives great and still fits in parking spaces. How fun would it be with a manual transmission!
