@@GoneAfterMidnight Being 35 and living with my parents rent-free working 2 jobs isn't so bad TBH, food quality is so important to me so I don't mind spending $20-30 a lot of days for high quality animal foods and to eat organic, and supplement as needed to at minimum prevent deficiencies if not get optimal amount of things. I got kelp liquid where a drop is 500% of the RDA of iodine with 1500 doses for $18, and other overlooked things are cheap like vitamin D, 120 doses of fermented skate liver oil(not as bad as it sounds) is like $50 so a little over a quarter a day, and you get loads of vitamin K2 also important, all the DHA and EPA you need, vitamin A, it has all the essential fatty acids really, and I get MagSRT which is time-release magnesium with the active forms of folate, B12, and B6, rose hips powder for vitamin C, that's all I really need to supplement most of the time except maybe biotin which is also pretty cheap and a bit difficult to get enough of. I'm going back to mostly keto and trying to cut calories for a while, was getting like 3,000 calories a day for the past 6 months and getting most my protein from plain organic grass-fed whey, and most my calories from Jovial Checkerboard cookies which is around $4 for about 1200 calories so it's pretty affordable for organic and legit a healthy way to get calories, a whole box is 55g sugar so it's not terrible, 1.5 pasture-raised eggs per box so you get a decent amount of nutrition from decent quality eggs. Whey is super underrated for being dense in micronutrients BTW, it's not just protein. Basically the portion of a non-isolate that isn't protein is concentrated micronutrients, it's mostly missing the fat soluble vitamins whole-fat dairy would have, but is loaded with water soluble vitamins like B vitamins particularly harder ones to get from meat like folate, the calcium balances the high phosphorous from meat. Cacao powder is great to help balance things like copper and magnesium that are lacking in whey, it's also important to be organic at least otherwise it can be estrogenic because of things like atrazine even 'grass-fed' whey can have since corn stalks can be considered grass and if it's not 100% grass-fed it can still be fed some non-organic grains, I definitely notice a difference if I get lower quality whey if I have to that's still decent, just not something you'd want to take for longer periods if you don't have to. I should order some fermented skate liver oil from Amazon again but lately I've just been getting vitamin K2 from raw goat cheese aged over a year and I've been eating a tin of oyster twice a week and raw liver twice a week, that costs quite a bit more but there's like no calories in fermented skate liver oil either, raw goat cheese at least is probiotic, you get some quality protein, some fat soluble vitamins and the cost per calorie isn't bad, liver is also very cheap even for quality grass-fed like $3 a pound for me and that lasts a month or 2, it's just oysters are a bit spendy at $4 for a bit over 100 calories but it's for the density and variety of nutrients, especially DHA and zinc if you're otherwise not getting enough. Almost forgot to mention a Brazil but a day to be sure I'm getting enough selenium unless I'm sure I'm getting it from oysters or seafood. A lot of what I've learned about food quality and nutrition BTW I've learned from Frank Tufano but he's possible leaving KZbin and who knows, he's one of many KZbinrs that could end up being de-platformed here anyway. He's underrated for nutrition and I kinda wish trying to get into the fitness influencer space worked out for him, because his knowledge of nutrition especially for natties as far as how food quality is important for balancing hormones is 2nd to none from what I've seen. BTW the main reason I live with my parents is because I was heavily manipulated into going to college a few times by family and dropped out ever time, and we have a family farm I was working on most my 20's until we got rid of turkeys 5 years ago. Doesn't really make sense to move out, and now I'm saving up $30k or so to fix up an old building we just use as storage now we cleaned eggs in with a bathroom/shower and kitchen into a place I can live in that's all paid for, so still no rent. I can even add a couple rooms to make sure it's fit for a family of 4-5 just to leave options open, then start raising my own animals and get really into hunting and fishing, cutting/splitting wood for heat, things like that to hone off-grid type skills to become a really solid provider and not just a 'provider' in the sense that I make good money, but might not actually own important things like land and a home.

You can make fun of me if you want(don't blame you), but people oversimplifying nutrition and not taking it seriously by basically eating half garbage and half 'healthy'(which even that is largely literally fake health foods or foods not as good as people think) and taking a multi is going to bite a lot of people in the ass. I'd argue that going to college only makes things so much worse as it forces people to spend even less on food in that time and into debt, and also distracts people from potentially researching one of the single most important things to be knowledgeable about. Frankly I don't think that's an accident and college is hurting people more than it's helping them, and is mostly benefiting a very small group of people in power and people don't see that.
