Check Fireman's loop that disconnects to HV battery. When there is collision, firefighters are trained to cut them first. You may be able to charge the HV battery if they are disconnected. Im in the same loop. Bought a salvage 2013 85D and Tesla could not make the key because somehow techs came out but they couldn't get to MCU.

Lol.. I get you guys, I love my trucks, my muscle cars, and even my Mazda rx7, Porsche 944? But until you own and drive a tesla? We have 5 cars at my home. No room for cars just to sit. If I had a large property? I never would give up my gas cars. But this? I have a 2018 model 3 performance, a 2023 model 3 performance and a 2023 model Y performance. No battery issues nada. The 2018 has 103k miles and my wife loves it. Once you get the key? Fix that minor damage? Good times! Hope to see more updates on this venture!

Once you get it opened a lot of the time there is an SD thumb drive in the glove box. And there could be a chance the recording of the accident will be on the SD card. A lot of the time when there’s an accident it’ll blow something called the Pyro fuse. And it’ll only run on the 12 V battery unless the contactor closes. But you’ll definitely need the key. It’s basically just a card so it could really be anywhere in the car, including under the seat. I also believe there is a manual way to inflate the suspension. Two good people to reach out to is rich from rich rebuilds or kyle from boostedboys. Kyle just did basically what your about to attempt to do.
