Agreed - peak car era. I live in Aus now, but we still have my original 2002 D2 V8 bought new as a company car, a 2002 Mazda Tribute and a 2007 Ford Falcon BF wagon on LPG at about 50p/L. No point anything newer as they offer so little more given all the above have BT, ABS and the basics. I love tech, it's my industry but not in cars. Enjoy the basics of driving too much Also, too aware of how much I hate having new cars scratched etc...

My 03 L322 was Giverney green with cream leather. As you say a really classy colour. Looked great in Kensington, equally great in a muddy field, and best of all, muddy in Kensington. As a new one I had no engine issues (or indeed anything at all) in the two years I had it, and it remains the most comfortable non-Citroen I've had (nothing has ever come close to my SM). It was a Vogue so had the superlative comfort seats like yours. Yours will tidy up very nicely and count me jealous. Too many are interfered with - an electrician mentioned when chatting (normal Devon tradesmen behaviour) his air struts had both gone, then he mentioned he'd put 22 inch alloys on it. Hello, that extra rubber was designed as part of the suspension set up. I shall enjoy how you get on, oh, and I was considerably older man than you at 5. I bought Vivaldi's Four Seasons...

They are a money pit. It might seem like it's fine when you buy it, because the previous owner has probably spent £1000s fixing it. Just a thought for you, might be worth flipping the sill covers off and rear wheel Arch liners and undersealing underneath them as that’s the only real area for rust on these, stop it before it spreads up the rear wheel arch/door shut, I had to cut out, weld and replace mine😂 the covers are nice and easy to remove. Are the wheels OEM? Great design and impact against the green, will look smashing once refurbished. While the from bumper is off, there maybe the wires and connectors to add the missing fog lamps. Ditto in the has for the switch. I'm only surmising that the loom is the same across the spec levels. Crisp LED fogs would stand out. Added value given no towbar, transmission should be in great shape too.

So when he told me to take a drive i went on checking little things. Just before turnig on the radio i was hoping it would be on one of the classical music stations, and it was! Then i opened the glove box, has a service history from beginning and all receipts from 2017 till today. In the trunk, original wiper blades in the box still, with nice little Land Rover logo 😂 everything works on the car besides timed heating(webasto), probably because it was never used. That's excellent purchase love colour combination my inner old man approves and is jealous as I'm selling indigo blue S-type. Also top tip go for Michelin latitude cross after many years of pirelli scorpions in various Range Rovers my family had switched to the Michelins and the difference in ride quality and handling was impressive.

Brilliant vlog. You might have convinced me to keep mine now. After a year ownership and many trips to garage. I decided to get a boring bmw 520d luxury touring for our family car. However my 2004 l322 4.4 v8 is still parked down the side of my house on a trickle charger. Was planning to get rid in the new year but might not now after seeing this 😅

Good to see it’s been looked after and will continue to be loved. I’m about to show some love to my parents car they’ve given me which is a Nissan murano. Not iconic but I’m obsessed with it while it’s like my childhood car.. my biggest issue with these is when do you stop spending. In my head I justify it by saying even if it cost 2k a year to maintain- it’s still cheaper than a new car on finance

A great buy Matt...Definitely the best colour scheme for a Range Rover and to me other than the original early 1970`s 3 door it`s the best looking by far...

Good buy, it does look the business. Way before that car was new, I resprayed my 12 speed Peugeot racer in a very similar fern green. Seats are a spot on shade too.

Unusual colour that. I’ve done the same with a discovery 2 in the same colour. It’s one of the last made es premium with factory diff lock etc and a rare manual.
