I remember when the LS400 first came out. I saw one parked, and thought it was nicer looking than a Mercedes. Unfortunately, I was was too young to own a car like that, but knew Lexus would forever change the luxury car market.

Good tires, suspension work, brakes and a tune could make this pretty awesome on a track.

can’t tune them, toyota locked the ecu and nobody has been able to get into its programs. it’s a shame but you can spend like $4000 to get a standalone ecu but that’s obviously unobtainable to most.

That was awesome! And really appreciate you showing how to be a courteous slower car on the track.

The LS400 might be a good avenue into "getting in touch with an upholstery shop" -- or a mobile upholstery business. You need things like the LS400 seats reshaped. Other vehicles need the whole driver's seat lowered. And so on. I think a few videos about this stuff would be helpful, to help people understand that they don't really have to "put up with" whatever seats their vehicles came with -- professionals can make meaningful changes, and keep the results perfectly safe, in the end.

Hey Kyle - really enjoyed your acquisition vid and this one, of course. I just bought a 2000 LS400 with 173K miles; as it's steering wheel is pretty worn out, and you mentioned you replacing your's, I was wondering if you've looked into possibilities (aftermarket or used originals). If your have, could you please share what you've found? Thanks!

Ive had a few LS400s and I always come back to the Silk Blaze pistol grip steering wheel. You keep the stock steering wheel buttons and airbag but its thicker in the handles and slightly smaller in diameter than the stock boat like steering wheel. You can always get a quick release and steering if you wanted to save every single pound. Ive had them before too and theyre cool but I liked the OEM+ look of the silk blaze. Other compamies make a similar wheel to them like clazzio and TOM’s

Hello Kyle. I went to look at the Lyriq and wondering if you have any thoughts on it?? I was quite impressed with it just looking and sitting in it.
