When I saw the wrecked truck I was hoping for “wide body hemi powered 240Z” but this works too! Best of luck with the move

The tire shop chased the weight around the wheel... they don't know what their doin lmao
@demoonlux97583 жыл бұрын
Good shit man! You inspire me to keep working on my mustang that was in a small collision that damage mainly the body panels, but also caused some problems with the steering area such as leakage from the power steering reservoir.

Had the same issue with new rims and tyres on my Miata, semi slick ones. First shop glued around 100g to make it balanced, but than I took it to another one, they moved the tyre on the wheel, and only 40g was needed to make it ok. So moving tyre on the rim does help to reduce the amount of weigh needed to balance it.

Good job Brad, goes to show how much you can save with a little elbow grease. Or even make money!

Great video! You've inspired me to maybe find a wrecked truck myself someday to rebuild. Only critique from me about your process is, I would have recommended that you soldered the wiring connections together vs only electrical taping - overtime. moisture will still find it's way in there and potentially corrode the connection.

What auction service did you use to buy the truck and Subaru?
@fernandomendoza-un8st3 жыл бұрын
Fr Im interested
@BradBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Copart! But I use ABetterBid as my auctioner since you need a dealers license to bid directly on Copart. Maybe I’ll make a video explaining the process!

A decent explanation into why you believe the truck would over heat. But deployed airbags = car immobilised/shit off straight away :)

if the radiator was cracked.... I wonder if the air condenser got F'ed....see if the AC still blows cold....and no way you'll get close to 20k for a v6 RWD salvage lol...still better than wasting on rental though! Rotate the tires you might get a pull from mis matched tires on front.... or your lower arm and strut are bent wouldnt be suprise the knuckle snapped....
@BradBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Ac is good! And I meant 20k without salvage. I see salvage versions of mine selling for around 15k, which I think is pretty reasonable!

That's a wheel speed sensor for ABS, TPMS is in the tire, also hate to tell you but V 6 is gonna suck gas to pull a heavy load, just sayin
@BradBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I meant ABS, was a long week working on this thing! Haha. I was looking for a v8 or diesel, but none had damage worth fixing at the time. I don’t have to tow much, so the V6 works for now :)

Are you sure you were repairing the wires for the TPMS? It looked like the abs sensor? Is it legal in the USA to repair these? Most cars have overheat protection now so cooking them is hard to do. The rest of the world find it scary that these things are considered a reasonable commuter car in the USA! I think any car I have owned would almost fit in the tray!!! 'merica!!!!
@BradBuilds3 жыл бұрын
If I said TPMS, I meant ABS sensor, whoops!! I've never heard about any legality issues with repairing theses, but an interesting thought! Yeah it's massive, it actually gets the same MPG as my WRX 😅
