Aluminium drain covers and not designed for drives or vehicle loads, housing builders use them and it is a cheap low quality cover. You should have a D400 rated cover for vehicles/driveways

Bought a salvage continental flying spur a few months ago ( 2006 registered ) with cat N damage ( no structural damage ) just bolt on repairs but the bits that were required was quite expensive ( mine needed front bumper and grill, spotlights etc ) once repaired I was in it for £11500, a hell of a lot of car for not a lot of money, I still have it, makes me feel unbelievably special driving it, congrats on the purchase I hope you enjoy it !

Yep you can find one for 14-15k but not mulliner package... A "clean" one is 17-18k£. Bur yeah I agree 10k£ is a bit high. 20k€ in germany for a LHD no way. Under 30k€ only lemon, japan/US imports or very high mileage.

I have almost exactly the same car, same black colour, similar interior but with 22” wheels. I do my own service and repairs, these cars can be a little tricky to work on, everything’s so tightly squeezed together, I have found many of the components are Volkswagen Touareg but that’s not something Bentley wants to let on so make a friend at Volkswagen! Best of luck! Don’t let the battery’s go flat, getting into to boot is a pain with no power.

You can buy a Bentley Continental with 80.000 miles in outstanding condition for £18.000, it will be interesting to see how much this project comes to. You have £8000 to spend but I would rather spend the right money for the right car. I’m looking forward to how much the parts are and what the car does to the gallon. You can get aftermarket 3rd party replica parts for it and a replica front wing costs between £125 and £500 and get some small independent garage to paint it plus the front for all in £250 tops, just get everything you need in a replica form except for tyres, why spend over the top on original parts.

I’m on my second Bentley GT. Most jobs are a engine out job ! Early GT’s suffer from vacuum leaks , pre 2007 suffer badly due to the vacuum plastic pipes being routed round the back of engine and on top of gearbox - again an engine out job. Just one to look out for, plenty more to go wrong :) if your gonna make it nice - put a super sport kit on it , change the steering wheel, dechrome , and change them ugly alloys for a set of super sport black alloys

Be interested to see where you go with this. I cant see much profit if it was bought to fix & sell personally. They are surprisingly good value atm. Can buy a non cat one on autotrader 84k for 15k! There so cheap. But bloody expensive to run and maintain. Good luck with it. 👍👍
