Denali Electronics makes various killer leds for numerous bikes. They're not cheap. But they do offer a direct canbus controller that plugs right into the bikes ecm. Dimming, turning on & off can all be done through the stock handlebar switches. It's quite an amazing system. I've had it for 2 years now and it's been trouble free.

I am always budget minded and ease of install...I spent $130 for a plug n play Led inserts in my stock Dyna FatBob headlite....Works great and didnt break the bank and installed myself in 15min....

I'm getting extenders just so i have a bit more room but thinking of lifting the gear lever a bit mire up to fit my boots for up shifts easier

I bought a $60 headlight for my sportster that was plug n’ play and worked great, no complaints. I bought my softail with the amber LP6 and my only “complaint” is that it’s TOO bright at time, especially at night. When driving behind someone at night they literally have to cover their mirror or move over cause it’s so blinding. If it wasn’t already on the bike when I bought it I would’ve never bought it lol

Is the cheap light gonna smoke the wires from Amp draw? Probably needs to be hard wired straight to the battery. Is it custom dynamics shark demon that is straight plug n play w/No fuses and has plugs that plug into stock harley plugs. For 1k vs 1700.

I’ve seen a few KZbinr removing the bd headlights for something the owner did.. couldn’t find anything on it..I am sure the quality is much superior than that of the EBay special ..but I personally would find a happy medium ground, because of the price

Europe requires auto leveling of headlights with HID lighting specifically because of potential to blind oncoming traffic. USA does not require auto leveling and thus more complaints of oncoming glare from newer type of white light headlights. The newer matrix adaptive headlights allow high beams to be maintained but a computer make a bubble of dark to not blind oncoming traffic. Cool technology

You got the wrong lense on the lp6 the low beam needs to be flood and the high spot you have all spot

A cheap light could place your whole wiring harness in jeopardy if poorly made. A $20 light vs thousands of dollars worth of wiring harnesses and equipment/electronics on that system

I would not run either on road. It looks like both lights' low beams do not have a clean cut off line. If that's the case, on coming traffic would be blinded. Id assume the DOT version would have a sharp cut off line for low beams.

A channel xrayed a $5 Amazon iPhone cable and compared to the $30 Apple cable. The huge number of additional circuit boards and wiring pointed to the Apple cable. The solder used on the Amazon cable were blobs compared to precise soldering Apple cables. Just pointing out more than just the exterior. Many people think $20 should buy the moon but $100 is the new $20 sadly. It is amazing what comes out of China including shipping. I am sure the Chinese light will not work after a year. Cheap beef is not good and good beef is not cheap.

If you're referring to caliraised, they don't make the lights themselves. Just the brackets, etc. Prior performance makes a better settup and isn't chimo owned.
