Your best option for keeping the original radio but adding some modern functionality to it is the Dension Gateway Pro BT GWP1BM4, it works perfect and the phone function will work exactly as if you had the original bluetooth option from BMW, you can even use the location for the original microphone and install a mic there for the phone calls. The cd changer will be cancelled but you get bluetooth audio streaming.

Randomly the wife and I decided to cross the Pennies today and go to Manchester. I recognise Deansgate since we were up and down there today. I noticed a pothole that was more like a landmine it was so big. It was at the traffic lights facing Harvey Nichols. One bloke didn't see it and I felt it for him it was such a thud. The car looks mint by the way. Probably best to leave it in the garage today ( yesterday now ) it's been such a filthy day.

People who hate the SMG dont know how to use it correctly, it can be a lot of fun and can be very smooth if you modulate the throttle accordingly. Haters make the mistake of thinking its an automatic when it is a Sequential Manual.

Yes, I would have gone for the coupe, but that's what I want. If you like the cabriolet, stick to your choice, I don't think there's right or wrong answer. The car looks gorgeous. At first I thought yours may have been put back in the wrong spot when it was refitted after the paint job. But a quick search has reliably informed me that it is mine that is wrong! Thats an outstanding job you have done there. Someone will pay the premium to have such a good quality original car. I think its well worth asking what you think its worth regardless of book value cos that car is going to appeal to a collector rather than someone who just wants an M3 and is only going to go up in value. When you have a look around there aren’t many original pristine examples like this one around.

I have a 2003 exactly the same colour with a hardtop. You did a smashing job on yours! Mine has over 170k on it and I have spent some dough too but every penny I spend on the car puts a smile on my face. It's not about the profit. The car is awesome and I still think it's the best M3 to date!

I worked in Manchester for 25 years, and rarely drove into the city, so well done on that score. The city has become too busy. Brilliant job on the M3; it's a marvellous job. It looks brand new. Car looks sweet!! I just bought a 2004 M3, SMG convertible. I've owned a 2006 325i convertible and a 2006 M3 coupe and I really loved both so I decided to get the M3 convertible. I've watched videos where people say that a manual and a coupe is a must, but it's all subjective. I love my SMG and I just tuned it so it does shift a bit smoother and faster and has rev matching. It's from Buildjournal. If you're interested. I live in Utah so it does get pretty warm during the summer and I thought the convertible would be great for those summer days. I have a Honda Accord which I use for my daily because I didn't want to drive the BMW in the snow with salt on the road or during rainy days.

I had an SMG on my old Z4 3.0i. They’re jerky compared to a full auto but I found the agricultural nature of the shifting quite fun tbh.
