I wrap cars for a living. Black cars are the best for vinyl color changes. It’s the only color we buy. Because as soon we get them, the color is getting changed. Ordered a new Bronco in black. Got home from the dealership, and the next day wrapped it in Gloss Light Pistachio. I just bought a 2016 AMG GTS about 3 weeks ago. Found the cheapest clean title car for sale in the US, with 78,000 miles on it. And of course the color is black. I paid $60k for it, and it’s getting wrapped next week in Satin Light Blue. (Just waiting on my wing to get here) Black cars might be the cheapest color. But when you’re installing color change wraps on them, black is absolutely the way to go. So it’s win win for me.

They do tend to be black. I have owned more black cars than I can count because of this. I very much dislike black cars too. After cleaning/detailing, They seem to look good for 15 minutes and then dirty again.

Sounds like a friend's experience with a 86 Mustang GT. He sold it and then several years later decided he was interested in getting another one. He contacted the buyer to see if he would sell and was able to buy it back for a few thousand dollars less than he sold it for. Basically the buyer paid to store it for my friend! 😂. Good luck with it Ed!
