At 4:45 that was my friend and me who were visiting New York during the spring, it was my first time in NY and I'm a huge fan of the Cannonball and just had to take a few photos of the RedBall because as you said "it's the church of speed" and then I saw you guys with the antennas and I knew what was up, I never posted the pictures anywhere, in fact, I have them on my phone which is right next to me, and when I clicked on the video, never could I have imagined I would be mentioned in a video on VINwiki, what a small world I'm shocked, for reference the time I took the photo was 11:23

I had a 95 Aero great car. Mine was a manual transmission.

I’ve had a few 9-5’s and worked for Saab. Fast highway car, but I hope he put better brakes on this, they were awful. The older 9-5’s had a 3L V6 out of the Cadillac Catera, the 4 cyl turbos were better.

An awesome accomplishment from a great team.

95 Aero is such a great car choice. Awesome! Only issue is turbo lag, but that should be an issue on Cannonball!

I figured for sure you'd mention the exhaust pipe as well.

Every time I see one of those on the road (not very often) I always yell "SAABARU!!"

Saab 9-5 Aero is a great choice. Boosted 4-cylinder, fairly easy to get parts for (based on the GM Impala platform), totally unassuming looks.

The impala did not have the same engine as the Saab 9-5
@JeffHendricks2 жыл бұрын
@@Saab9-3PDX I know, but the chassis is. The engine eventually came to the U.S. as the LSJ, used in the Cobalt SS and Ion Redline with a blower instead of a turbo. My Redline has "Saab" stamped on the oil pan still.
@MishraArtificer2 жыл бұрын
@@JeffHendricks Hm...I wonder if it could handle twincharging, then, since it has parts support for both a blower *and* a turbo.
@JeffHendricks2 жыл бұрын
@@MishraArtificer It's been done, yes. There are guys making 500+ HP on these engines with big turbo swaps!
@Saab9-3PDX2 жыл бұрын
@@JeffHendricks no the one your talking about is the 9-3 ng from 2003-2012 2.0t that’s a LSJ, the 9-5 has a 2.3 all the way from the 90’s to 2010 where they replaced it with a 2.8t v6 turbo, the 9-5 chassis i think is shared with a vectra I think.
