The spiders are so stinking adorable 😍. How many more do you think you will add to your family or little ones?😉 You probably don't even remember me but I had a Veiled Chameleon, Kenny. He moved to Heaven this spring. He was a true grumpy at times buddy. He lived to be 6 yrs old. Reptile friends were amazed he lived that long. Miss the little guy🥺. You have a fantastic weekend. Just for my first leopard gecko, it’s still quite small but not too bad just wanna make sure I’m doing everything good I’ve done so much research but still feel like I need it perfect perfect, I have 3 hides, one moist, other on top of heat mat and one in middle , I have water dish, calcium/food small dish thing I have a heat lamp, and that’s kinda it (paper towel for substrate, I’ll upgrade to 20g long eventually when it’s larger and some Coconut fiber substrate is everything I have good?

I am scared of spiders but I do love their CUTE faces. I'm considering it. Also lately I've become really sensitive to any creature bug small creepy whatever, I will find a way to save them instead. Sorry but before I had no idea even bugs can be so cute. Like a Japanese beetle, their faces are just so sweet. I cry if I can't save a lil bug. I've been very careful at work cause we do have "daddy long legs" and I have even held them to get them to safety. Took an emergency to do it but I've been fine with it since.

Who do you buy your spiders from?
@Allan_aka_RocKITEman Жыл бұрын
FWIW: As long as it does not bite or sting -- or at least is not likely to do so -- I have no problem with insects. I had a pet boa constrictor for a couple of years in the late 80s/early 90s.
@christophersbass2 жыл бұрын
When they get bigger, which live plants do you recommend for their enclosure?
@leopardgeckotalk2 жыл бұрын
Hmm I’ve never really explored that too much, just because I’m a tad worried of increasing the humidity too much, but I think that’s why I like air plants because you can take them out and water them separately. I know Serpa Designs did a planted tank for his spood.

So cuuuute! I heard jumping spiders like to bask in the sun in warm walls, do you ever notice a need for them for a little sun and warmth? Or is that just south American spiders? Curious
@leopardgeckotalk2 жыл бұрын
Not particularly but the reptile room is generally quite nice and warm, so I think heat wise they’re happy, but I did notice a big change when I added the LED. I only had Betty a few days without it, but she wasn’t as active or as hungry without it.

@meowthekitty3212 жыл бұрын
They could bite, but with how tiny jumping spiders’ fangs are, it probably wouldn’t even break the skin.
@leopardgeckotalk2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’ve never felt them if they’ve tried. I read that they’re too weak to break the skin.
Do these things even live long enough to make decent pets? I imagine they wouldn't live any longer than a year?
