Okay, to be fair, mouse jigglers have one purpose that can be really handy. If you get a laptop from the government, or from a massive corporation, they typically have very short lock periods (mine is about a minute.) What that means is you can't even go to the bathroom without the laptop locking, requiring logging back in (generally with a smartcard) and re-opening your VPN connections. A jiggler allows you to go to the bathroom, or make a cup of coffee without having to relogin to everything. Obviously you don't use them in an unsecured environment, but if it's sitting on your desk at home... yeah, they are a huge time saver.

It's likely a "Peltier" cooler. Peltier devices use materials where when a voltage is applied, one side gets really hot and the other gets really cold. There used to be CPU Peltier coolers like 15 years ago, I think they are out of fashion because they generate a lot more heat than they take away. So the CPU does get really cold, but the inside of the case gets very hot.

That mouse kinda looks like someone looked at a swiftpoint tracer and went 'oh, we can do that!' and it turned out that no, they could not do that. I have a swiftpoint Z (which is the premium version of the tracer) that is currently in a drawer because, unfortunately, after years of use it started to wear (got very rough on the bottom skates and on the rubber sections of the grip), and it is surprisingly comfy and natural, despite the odd shape and button locations. It's basically the 'fully loaded luxury car' of gaming mice, full of features that you have to actively go out of your way to remember the existence of, but if you work them into your mind, they actually work pretty well. I really hope they start making them again. The knuckle buttons on the swiftpoint mouse are actually fairly accessible and easy to use, while having enough resistance that you aren't going to accidentally trip them. They can also be pulled up instead of pushed down for alternate inputs. The swiftpoint Z actually TRULY shines in creative pursuits. Can have nearly every shortcut right there on the mouse, and rarely have to deal with modifier key inputs on the keyboard. In games I found myself using a lot of the buttons on a pretty rare basis initially, but after getting used to binding certain things to the mouse and having dedicated buttons for them, it was awkward to switch away back to a more 'normal' mouse. In my case that was a G502, then a G305.

Unrelated - you might enjoy reviewing Lexip gaming mice, only ones I've ever seen with a tiny analog stick on them and I have one. Your channel and you are superb; you are one of the elite few on The Tube that I would call a true showman.

Now you need to pay another DLCs to complete the entire keyboard.

Mouse jigglers can be handy for working from home, to prevent it from locking every time you get up (I don't have anyone that will mess with the PC). Not that one though, since you are adding extra random crap devices. There's a guy in Europe who makes very small ones, that actually aren't detectable. They appear as a wireless mouse. Visually they resemble a micro sized bluetooth reciever. They won't convince anyone you are working, they are excellent at keeping the PC from automatically locking, turning off the monitor etc.

a half keyboard for gaming can make a lot of sense.. especialy, if you have a 10key keyboard for work - its much more ergonomic and reduces the risk of getting longtime problems with unconfortable hand and arm angles.

I did fall for the gimmick, and did buy some gaming peripherals from temu, what a waste of money. The game controller from temu for the PS4 would not work at all despite it being new, to gaming mice absolutely would not interface with Windows PC 11 no matter what we tried. The one thing that did work okay was a portable battery charger , but the annoying thing was the charge cord was only 3 in long.

For one handed keyboards, it's not that it's useless or stupid in play, some one handed keyboards are designed that way for either one handed people or for mobile gaming both literally and figuratively. You can bring that keyboard out in the open may it be a restaurant, coffee shop or anything with a desk on it and you can basically game on your laptop without having to use the tiny laptop keyboard. It also helps by minimizing the space a normal sized-75% keyboard takes on a table. If you have a small desk primarily used only for snacks or studying or just a generally cluttered table then you can still game on it.

I would have killed for one of those half-keyboards when I was growing up and had a tiny little TV dinner table as my "computer desk". You could fit a full size keyboard, or a mouse, on that. Not both at once unless you got creative with your mouse placement. And this predates the popularity of sub-size (75%, 60%) keyboards, which I also would have killed for.

The hunterspider was my first “gaming headset”. I wanted something cooler than my earphone and bought them on Amazon. They are not that bad and even have “noise cancellation” because they cover your ears so much, that someone has to call you twice in order to get a response from you.

What I find hilarious about the mouse jiggler is the entire idea. Would the lack of completed work not be a clue that no work is taking place? Or is the "work" so unimportant no one notices if it's done or not?

I've got a split keyboard where I can use just one side and it's amazing for gaming! Without the other half it means I concentrate on the game rather than engaging the toxic children, and you have a ton of mouse room

@6:00 the mouse jigguler' the only known use was in the early days 200? ISPs would disconnect if there was no input going on. I used a software mouse movement thing to stay online. 20 years ago it would be semi-useful

I use to have a half keyboard and it was one of the most comfortable gaming keyboards I've ever used. Of course, not having a full keyboard is a problem, I just had a cheep 60% as well for everyday typing. But the way the spacebar was helped, and the macros were good too.

that half a keyboard is awesome, i play games that i dont chat on and WASD is my movement keys, mouse is my fire buttons, nothing more needed. try it on a steam deck so you dont have to carry a full keyboard with you.

one of my friends buys "survival" junk from temu all the time and they're always complaining about the lights and stuff not working (or if they do, not well lol), yet they still continue to buy from them cause "its cheap enough I dont feel like im losing money" lol

That mouse jiggler is for stuff like GTA Online, so you can more easily stay AFK while getting rewards. Most of the time, you get automatically logged out by the game if you go AFK for too long.

You should consider doing a video on the expensive, but proper way to do a half keyboard: a split keyboard like the ZSA Moonlander among others. Will thake some time to get used to, but many people swear by it.

Have you really not come across a Nostromo style control pad before? The partial keyboard layout is to use in conjunction with a keyboard, so that you don't have a whole rectangle of unused keys while playing. It makes it easier to use on the arm of a recliner for example. You'd still have a keyboard in your lap or on a table to type when needed. The mouse I was interested in, as it seems to be a knockoff of the Swiftpoit Z or Swiftpoint Tracer mouse, which generally cost like 200 dollars. The extra buttons actually only take a couple minutes to feel completely natural, if they are as comfortable as the Swiftpoint.

i actually just hand built a qwert keyboard specifically for gaming so i didn't take up my whole desk when i tilt it at an angle, so i can game and still have a cup of coffee in front of me.
