We hate missing a stop because we either have to turn and take them back or take them to the school to meet their parent.

I had Google maps tell me to turn right 3 buildings from my destination. The detour would be 3 miles out of the way, taking me right back to the building I am looking at ahead across the intersection! When I got to the point of making my left into the lot, 8t wanted me to go straight and go around the same block the other way around, still having to make that same left I already was taking. It's crazy!
