Beautiful! You’ve restored an heirloom for your niece. I’m sure future generations will also treasure it. It needs an inkwell-eBay has quite a few antique school desk styles

I heartily agree that the antique walnut is perfect for this project. The wood looks so rich, and it respects the history of the desk. I noticed the butterfly, too, and reflected on how perfect it is for a little girl. I’ve looked it up, and grey is correctly spelled BOTH ways-grey and gray. It drives the spelling and grammar police completely out of their minds!
@restorationrhodeКүн бұрын
Agree I liked the darker stain. I thought the same for the butterfly, appropriate for a toddler. I get checked by grammar police on every video.

@@restorationrhode I'm currently on the hunt for a desk similar to this, only with the box part of the desk being metal. I saw one states away from me as I was passing through a couple weeks ago. I should have snagged it while I had the chance. They had a tall shot glass in the well hole. Fit perfectly, but brass would be classy!

You weren’t sure about how to spell the color of your metal primer spray. I have no idea how I know this…but “gray” is the American spelling, “grey” is the British version. To remember the difference, think “a” for American, “e” for English. 😂 Nice work by the way - the restored piece is beautiful and I’m sure it will be a treasured heirloom for years to come.

I greatly appreciate the effort and craftsmanship that went into this restoration. However, I found the background music and the paid advertisement distracting from the overall experience. Watched the video on mute. For future projects, a more subdued approach to music might enhance the viewing experience. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
