I always say I learned woodworking from both my dad and my grandpa: my grandpa taught me to use the tools, my dad taught me how to fix my mistakes. The desk looks amazing, design features and all! I really like the detailed build videos, with all the tips and tricks. Since I've started working and learning on my own, youtube has taught me a lot about joinery and designing a project. Thanks for being a part of that!

If your having trouble with nail blowouts try turning your gun 90 degrees to be in line with the wood. Brad nails are shaped flat like a 2x4 and bend the same way, they flex in their thinner direction. If you have the flex direction where the nail can follow the wood grain out toward the side of the board, Murphy’s law says they will. If you turn the gun to be parallel with the length of the board your shooting into, the brad can on flex along the length and will still be in the board. Great vid!

1. I like your design, really great idea. 2. Looking at the front, at the way you dealt with the edges, I got a suggestion: Considering you before assembly already know what goes where, then it would not take long for you, to cut a V-groove into the front, all the way around, then cut some strips of the plywood, where there good looking side, is the one to be turned out, at the inward is cut into an angle. This has several benefits: 1. It hides that you made it in plywood; 2: Creating these cuts, will make the front look like the rest of your creation; 3: The front will because of the angle and groove center itself. Beyond that... nice show of machines. ;)

Wow, another awesome project and beautiful finished product. I learned so many useful techniques from that one video (and so many tools I now want). I really appreciate that you show how you 'fix' self imposed problems and how you would improve it to make a design better. And I have to say that the banding and splined bevels you used to just make it cleaner and prettier are something i'll be incorporating from now on. The effort is way worth it. Keep up the great work!

To get around the issues with using pocket screws for the top, you can increase the height of the drill block on the jig. That will put the shoulder of the pocket hole far enough back to deal with the longer screws and actually give you a bit more meat for the screws. I did this on a walnut faceframe and it worked like a charm 👌👌
