I Built an Open World Pyramid Exploration Track!

Hey everyone and welcome back to more Zeepkist! Today we are building open world tracks so I decided to take it to the desert and explore some pyramids!

the problem with clipping the boosters made me think that direction-agnostic boosters would be a good track piece. just a thing you can put down that makes you speed up in whatever direction youre already going, like the opposite of the brake pads.

Could probably make that with a squished pyramid/cone with boosters pointing up all around. You gain speed no matter where you come from, but ignore the other (reverse) boosters because you'd jump over them

I had a dream earlier about a map. The idea is taking the cave/mountain run, but making it more in the sky, transparent objects, kinda like clouds. I think it would be neat, and one of the visions I had was kinda like Matrix 3 when they breach the clouds in the sky.

@Kan there are in fact smooth block options. When you go into the first folder of terrain options, the first three folders are very bumpy rock shapes, slightly bumpy grass shapes, and the third are the perfectly geometric smooth shapes that also have the optional top layer of secondary material. That third set is the one you want.

I really enjoy (as a viewer - unfortunately, I don't play Zeepkist myself) the "engineered" feel that all kAN's tracks have. He always starts with an idea, and does exactly what needs to be done to make the idea work - nothing extra. And I understand this is subjective and there are valid reasons to prefer, say, more chaotic/artistic creations, but I personally like kAN's style very much.

So watched Kosmo first and now i see what you guys ment about cactus. Also an idea for you. Your next tack challenge should have your fan remake/create some of your tacks kasmo and dap had a lot of issue with; maybe a list. They have to keep the over all theme and appearance. Then for the voted top 3 let dapper and kos race on them you all 3 then decide who wins based in contrast.

There are literally pieces that are large enough to make pyramids 2x the size of yours with only 4 pieces...🤣🤣 PS: Kosmo just gotta get good lol... just cause a track is hard doesn't mean it's bad :)

Keep in mind the pyramids needed a flat top though, so just putting 4 large squares half diagonally sunk in the ground wouldn't really work I think.

Would be interesting to make something open world that is easy to finish but there are boosters and/or fans of different strengths hidden (though there would be landmarks that help orient you so you know or at least have an idea of where they are (because you can't see them). That way part of the challenge is to discover those and remember where they are. Because you can't actually see them, you have to use the environment as a frame of reference to remember their exact locations (some would be easier to hit because they are right by a landmark, others might be relatively out in the open so you have to use spatial memory) and figure out what path to take through the course to get the best time.

You can set a fan to 3-4 and get extremely low gravity.

Track idea: freestyle park. Something like they would have for BMX or MX races and stunt shows. You could make a track with a start and a finish with a ton of jumps and turns or have a bunch of random jumps and hills around in a stadium with checkpoints everywhere.

Wangan theme. Highway, dodging cars, going fast. You have to go as fast as possible while also not clipping anything. These will be hard tracks, with some curves, but mainly flat, with 2-3 lanes. ending off with a jump or something

I feel like a track that teeters you on the brink of respawn would be cool. A REALLY SLOW track. One that you would have to manage your friction or risk having to reset.

Funnily, there are no cacti anywhere near Egypt, only in the Americas I think. There are different kinds of deserts, and not all have cacti. But still, great job. You should do a temple theme one time, and you could do a Egyptian temple with a massive pyramid that you race inside of.

2 things would make it a better track: dunes so it wouldn't be flat world and just adding a road pieces or other block(with no bounces) up the pyramids
