Incredible. You gave me some great ideas for my new kitchen. I've designed two kitchens in the past using all IKEA products and was very happy with the results. Both kitchens were durable, aesthetically pleasing and I enjoyed having total control over the design process. Most places force you to work with a kitchen designer but I don't need their help. Love the homemade details you included. Very nice touch. The people who gave this a thumbs down must still live in their parents basement and have resentment issues.

I'm a bit late to the party but regarding your new kitchen build, as an engineer I wonder if you followed the manufacturer's installation instructions re clearance around the refrigerator for ventilation to the sides and rear? This is where most of the heat from inside is dissipated during the cooling process and if external air cannot circulate the refrigerator will labor on it's cooling cycle (ie motor-compressor work for long periods of time) as it tries to achieve the set temperature inside. Two main results will be food not cold enough inside and higher power usage, plus potentially wearing out the compressor earlier. Thanks for your very informative cooking lessons.

Hello! Absolutely love your kitchen and it has inspired a lot of the design in the kitchen I am building now. May I ask several questions regarding the shelves above your sink? 1) what’s the depth of those wood planks, is it about 20cm? 2) how are those wood planks (shelves) supported? Is it via the 2 corner industrial pipes against the wall? Thanks in advance!
