I Built my First Track and it's a Literal MOUNTAIN!

I wouldn't call Scrapmans tracks "unnecessairly hard", you know there are some people who actually enjoy hard tracks ( Like really hard ) much more than easy tracks even if it's the minority someone still has to give us nice hard tracks to play.

I really enjoyed the track. Nice down to earth track that makes some really tough racing! What I figured out with wallriding this, was that the downhill with slowster was exactly at the point where it would've started paying off at preserved speed. Due to the hill you needed to brake and all gain was immediately equalized

I said it multiple times during the race, I really liked this track. Incidentally Warcans records his runs and will put up a video in a bit, and he has the widget that shows how much control he is applying showing on screen, so you'll easily be able to see how he does what he does. Heck I am sure you can just ask him for the footage honestly.

I love how everyone is starting to build his own brand of stuff: *kAn:* unconventional, interesting concepts, but the execution is absolute pain, and the visuals are as bare bones as possible (save for a few notable exceptions) *Kosmo:* Nice ideas, nice visuals, pretty hard to finish but aren't as hurtful to the mind as kAn or (occasionally) ScrapMan due to the visuals *ScrapMan:* The unconventional tracks among unconventional tracks, which can go both ways, wonderful tracks in driving and looks or almost as much pain as kAn while looking even painier *Dapper:* Da janky sh!t - either just made for pain or shortcut after shortcut after shortcut *Moonbo:* Wonderful visuals, perfect flow, easy to finish and extremely hard to optimise, generally creations that show heart and dedication

Awesome first track! I already really enjoy all the quality builds you make in Scrap Mechanic and if you make Zeepkist tracks with at least half the quality and effort of your SM builds, they'll be some of the coolest and most beautiful tracks in the game once you get the hang of the track builder!

Idea. You could do a rotation track, so y'all make part of a track, pass it to the next person and that person adds on to the track. It would be call seeing how the other interpret the tracks and how dapper tries to cheese (:

These types of tracks are my favorites. "Gimmicky" tracks are fun, but hardcore downhill racing, whether it's mountain, bobsled, snow, or open terrain, that's the true spirit of Soapbox. Well done, I can't wait to play it.

Watching Warcans, it's pretty clear he doesn't use "stick input", on the contrary, he's most likely using a steering wheel as the range on a controller joystick is just simply too small to keep such fine-tuned turning consistent. A stick can do wonders, especially for those very good at it, but Warcans' show of clean lines is extremely difficult on a stick to do reliably. The small movements you make with your thumb can mean the difference of turning say 10% to 30% varying wildly in fractions of a second versus the wheel which can be 1% to 3% or even better. When you turn, you lose speed, but it's based on the amount of turn that you lose that speed. A wheel can turn just enough while not losing the speed a joystick will since it's extremely inconsistent turning percentage. This is a great track where a steering wheel's true potential shines.

Moonbo! I’m excited to see you playing zeepkist! I have a cool track suggestion it’s simple but cool you should try making the nürburgring nordschleife! It is one of the most famous tracks in real life and is the track that most car companies test there cars on it’s a little large of a track so it might be laggy but it is pretty simple and might be a fun track to make one day! 😊

weirdly enough my only real suggestion would be not to have the boosters: the whole reason gravity tracks are so interesting is because it means that _everything_ that happens over the course of a run matters: a course essentially segments each time you get your speed reset to par by a booster or run a section that reliably puts you at the 200 softcap in a short span of time...or one that near-stops you but those are pretty rare. its any time that the track sets the situation of a player while running it to be near-equal to most any other run. looked like that slowster was there to keep people from flying off the track which is just plain courteous for something meant to be played in a lobby: no spending all your runs trying to figure out how little you can afford to brake.

I want to see a volcano track with emitters tossing out lava bombs. They'd land on just a couple parts of the track where there's good visibility to see them coming and it aesthetically makes sense. Ideally, these moving objects would be visible as an aesthetic element, when they aren't being dangerous. Like a lava flow next to the road, while you're driving down the mountain. Now, I'm thinking of a simpler thing where it's just boulders rolling down a ravine and the road is next to that, occasionally switching sides, through/over/under the flow.

The only suggestion I would have is put the checkpoints on the corners instead of the straightaways. This track was rough enough outside the track that it couldn't be cheesed but it almost could be. I think the natural tendency is to put them where they would go in a real life track, where they would go on the straightaways so someone losing it in a corner wouldn't smoke a bunch of bystanders or equipment.
