@@modothegreat108 they would be the same item as to not interfere if you decide to not try and go through them. They would be there only to allow people to see their split times and would be completely unobstructive to everyone else.

Personally I feel like this camera mode blocking should at most be done as a setting for host to enable in lobby. If it's an setting or object for a map, it'll just confuse players as to why they can't use camera mode in specific maps and adds frustration to those who want to spectate etc. Also it won't ever fix the cheesing problems, it'll just delay them. For example, in this lobby, we would've likely just driven a minute and then cut. And the same again. I just don't see it adding anything to the game while adding stuff for the devs to do. But I do like how this all turned into this fine balancing between stopping cheese and saving another one :D

You're right a setting would be much better. Blocking Free Camara would be ideal for those who like to spectate. However I wouldn't call the cheesing a problem, as you know I LOVE the Cheese. But A delay sure would make the content I make much easier!

@@DapperEcho Actually yeah, blocking the Free Camera would likely be the way to go. Maybe if we'll one day have a good way to spectate players from the normal driving perspective without hassling with the sticky camera, as then new players would still be able to spectate other players and see how they drive.

~10:40 If anything though, the dev should add a roadsign/camera or something like that which doesn't necessarily act like a checkpoint, but only takes your time, like the booths on the highway in NFS Most Wanted for example. It could just be a circle exactly like the checkpoint, but different color, like the first/thirdperson camera, or it could just be like a roadside sign thingy that doesn't even catch your eye that much.

@@beaclaster Well, the map creator would add it at appropriate intervals, and it would encompass a big enough area, so it wouldn't prevent you from finding a good path necessarily, and that's also the reason I said it should only measure time and not act as a checkpoint, so you can skip it entirely if you are not particularly interested in the time and just want to finish.

I want to see a track made of check points just after the entrance. If possible make some that don't register when you pass through them and use those to drive on and place larger checked points around them at places to make those driving believe that some work as intended. Then find a way to prop yourself to the top on an invisible track that runs along the top of the track but allows you to go through the hidden oversized checkpoints.
