Just as a heads up, if you put the pipes around the outside of the pond you can fit six pumps in there with a bit of finessing. For my playthrough, that is what I did to get a 1200 MW coal plant (16 generators) going off of just that little pond and a Mk3 belt from a Mk2 miner on the coal by the cliff edge.

39:00 - Regarding lumen being darker, they added a "minecraft-esque" dropdown setting for more moody or more bright illumination under global illumination (the arrow to the right of the selector) that can be set to one brighter compared to the default of Moody Bright. Also, you can't feed Fabric to biomass burners, it doesn't take that as fuel.

There is more too it then that. they lowered the range that GI applies to objects dramatically. this is why sign "lights" dont work as well as they did in 0.8. you can undo this change by editing the Engine.ini file in the games appdata folder by adding "[SystemSettings] r.AOGlobalDistanceField.MinMeshSDFRadius=14" to get it back to 0.8 levels of global illumination. dosnt seem to effect performance. lol, then watching a bit further into the eppisode he actually shows the console command version of the fix.

Tips for getting Dimensional storage. 1. Find S.A.M. and mine it. 2. Build a M.A.M. next to S.A.M. Yes, you can build more than one M.A.M. 3. Build a Constructor to make Reanimated SAM. 4. Use the crafting bench to make SAM Fluctuators. Make sure you take Wire and 10 modular frames, Steel Pipe and 5 Mercer Spheres. The pipes you can find searching for Hardrives. 5. Research the Dimensional Depot Uploader. 6. Place Miner MK1, Place 1 constructor, into a storage container and finally into1 x Depot. Reduce the constructor to make 2 per min, underclock the miner to Mine 10 per min. 7. Power it all with a biomass burner running at about 2% with solid biofuel. This will run for hours. 8. You now have unlimited Reanimated SAM on demand from your dimensional inventory. 9. Return to your base, go about your business. 10. Whenever you need to make SAM Fluctuators, make them at a crafting bench from the dimensional inventory. The SAM mining setup will then refill it again over time.

One question that I keep having in the back of my mind is rough goals of outputs of certain items at each stage of the earlier game. With the wealth of content around the game at the moment it's very easy to have production lines that far exceed your needs. Trying to go back in and split things off to alter production lines, the space constraints are readily felt. I am thinking it's time to start building the main factory that will be taken into endgame, but not sure if I am quite at that point. Do I sprawl out a little more and do satellite assembles fed by storage chests to build more capital? Do I pull the trigger and start a large foundation for my next base? Do I do a big tear down and redesign my starter factory? I am sure others have reached this point before and figured it could be useful content to make.

If you wanna push it a bit further, you can build a blueprint of a cage (like a shark cage) with stackable conveyor supports for when encountering multiple big boars so you can manage them easily :) the dimensionnal depot for inventory is pretty usefull too since you'll be able to clear inventory when exploring, and adds 5 more slots to your inventory if you place in pieces that are already full (but i'm pretty sure you're already aware of that ^^)

damn..im a bit more advanced than you and the most proud building I have is the 4x4 ... i sucks XD

Nah, we're just playing it differently, I wanted to push clean builds from the start, you'll get there soon!
@1fastcolt9 сағат бұрын
is there a reason you use 2m and 4m blocks instead of the 1m?
@jefferylittleton10059 сағат бұрын
I believe the 1m has some weird stuff with the world grid, so it won't snap cleanly to other stuff sometimes.
@paulnieuwkamp80677 сағат бұрын
@@jefferylittleton1005apparently this changed in 1.0, they no longer do this. I prefer 4m foundations as my first layer as it covers more changes in terrain, but of course you don't have to start / stay at ground level.

Yeh, less foliage comes through if it's higher up 🙂

Not gonna happen 😅 took me 40 hours to get to this, people won't watch that. The guided playthrough will be less editted though

Is there a mode in the game where you just build and no enemies? I like the game but the combat part makes me doubt.
@Jkolzy11 сағат бұрын
yes - its automatically set as passive now for new saves i believe
