You put that togheter very well 👍The sleeve is an absolute beauty but the block 🤨You are right Gimar is selling b grade nova parts but still Novarossi, the materials that tehy use are very durable. Curious to see how it will run, that cranck seems to be open wider than the 28-8 cranck

I have the GiMar Rex Legend 28-8 I fixing to run in my Kyosho Gt1 or my XRay Rx8... haven't decided... Brand new in the box too..... IDK... I'm guna run it !!! lol !!!@@thenitronation5815

“Ghetto carburetor” is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I’m almost in tears dude. Anyway, congratulations on the engine my dude but whoever assembled that thing needs to lay off the dope. Unacceptable for the price point but still awesome to have! Take care

I’m not completely sure, but I’ve heard that the people behind Gimar are the same people from the old JP Racing which produced some of the fastest on-road engines back in the day. I see a lot of these listed on ebay and they look to be pretty nice, but are very inconsistent in terms of parts used. They all use nova blocks and internals, but then there’s a mix match of os, red, or some other brand carbs and use a rebadged os or nova head. I have no doubt that they all run great, but I don’t fully trust them

My son still has a brand new 28/8 brand new never had fuel through it stock not modified and an rcr drag modded one with about a gallon through it wish they were still around nice vid. 👍🏽

I do modify some of my own engines (the more cheaper and basic ones) but my more expensive engine I have sent out. This one I’m not sure I think it’s it’s own sleeve

Don't knot it until you have tested it. I fly nitro planes and the hobby shop had some cheap china made V-mar engines. I put one on a old trainer plane I had and logged 23 gals of fuel in that engine before it gave up on me. 2.5 years that little engine ran on 15% cool power fuel. a lot of people learned to fly on that old plane and the engine held up very well. And had very good power.

they ebayer who sells these buys all of the gimar engines from giovanni crea (owner of gimar) when novarossi shut giovanni but up a lot of the left over parts and started puting em together and selling modified engines. these parts he bought were probably something like reject parts from novarossi. its still a novarossi and runs good but just is not the same as the original perfect Novarossis

@@thenitronation5815can confirm the above is true. I spoke to Giovanni and the eBay ones are legit, would be such an effort to fake for the sake of small scale sales. And definitely not Chinese. I bought one last night, arrives next week. When are you posting a running vid, keen to see what you think of its performance? Hopefully they rip!

on my losi buggy the rear center drive shaft is bent what do i take apart to replace it

Remove the rear end it’s 4 screws plus the 1 chassis brace screw

Hello, GIMAR is a well known nitro engine modifier in Europe. They have since moved on to O.S. engines because Novarossi is no longer in business and the parts are no longer in production. M. Rossi has moved on to REDS racing and some of the other former employees opened NOVA engiines. GIMAR Novarossi engines are new old stock. They do run very good. I own several bought from EBAY from a specific individual. The GIMAR branded carburetor is an excellent tuning carburetor. Original Novarossi carburetors lke their engines are no longer being made so GIMAR had to produce their own. Im not going to say they are made by O.S. but they seem very similar.

There a mix match of parts not done by Novarossi...the ebay guy your speaking about is the guy importing from china i bet...gimar from what ive read was a 3rd part company that partnered on some engines with novarossi but the shit i got was not the real deal Basically there fake BS with Novarossi name on them..i bought 3 nova mito 4 and a p5xlt they were all terrible just like this one.

Now I was pissed at first with my purchase of the mito 4 and p5xlt but they do run well mine came with what looks to be legit nova carbs but the cooling heads were all wrong should be low cg heads on all of them nut the heads all sat on top of head button like a old hyper ofna
