The prokinetic Mestinon has fixed my motility issues. Thankfully it's been repurposed to treat digestive issues now.

I stopped having annual sinus infections after I got my tonsils removed. Turned out they were chronically infected. They were removed as part of sleep apnea surgery, which also fixed my deviated septum. My gut motility issues were all fixed with Mestinon (Pyridostigmine), which is becoming a superdrug for EDS patients, since it can help with gut motility and POTS.

@Dulcimerist I looked up Mestinon (Pyridostigmine) said it was for muscle strength. Not sure if it would help with someone that has Sibo and mobility issues? I'm high in Methane Sibo for over 22 years it's a hard thing to get rid of.

@@jamieb5679 Mestinon (Pyridostigmine) also acts as a prokinetic and is an emerging repurposed medication to treat gastroparesis, intestinal dysmotility, chronic constipation, and other motility issues. Mestinon (Pyridostigmine) was developed over 75 years ago, is very inexpensive, and has a long track record for safety. This makes it more attractive to doctors, due to having much fewer side effects than Reglan (Metoclopramide) and other commonly prescribed motility medications. Mestinon (Pyridostigmine) works on the vagus nerve and promotes the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest funtions).

@@jamieb5679 Pyridostigmine is now a repurposed medication to treat gastroparesis, intestinal dysmotility, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and other digestive motility issues. Mee to but I’m trying to lean on God for healing. I was on my knees before Him praying for direction and then I surrenders it all to Him. I am exhausted from almost 24 surgeries .. R.A. 4 joint replacements just Bork my patella.. How is that possible whim I have a knee replacement? I found out the patella is what the replacement is held you against. Girl.. I hear you! Not with sinuses but earaches… Vicks on a cotton ball took the pain. Weird right? It worked! Praying for you because I feel your frustration! Been there and praying for freadom from it all! Just lost my husband in January so there goes my support but God.. He will see us through. I am trusting Him for me and you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. My husband died at 40 of leukemia 6 months after his diagnosis. I felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. The heart pain was unbearable. He was my soul mate and my best friend. This July 4th will be 20 years since his death. I struggle with anxiety and depression and take anti depressants. You have to cherish your memories together. Only God and working will give you strength to get through each day. I went back to work as an operating room nurse 2 weeks after he passed. I pushed myself to hold on to some normalcy. Getting used to sleeping alone is the hardest. My dogs were and are a wonderful source of affection and unconditional love. May God be with you and comfort you. 🙏 💓

Always take live probiotics when taking antibiotics. Ask a pharmacist for recommendations of what to take. Pharmacists know way more than doctors do about drugs and drug interactions. They’ve nearly saved my life and another time saved my baby’s life by preventing me from taking a med my doctor told me was safe to take while nursing. So, make friends with a seasoned pharmacist, the ones that work at free standing, non-major chain company, pharmacies. Those folk’s seemed to care more about the individuals that they sell meds to.

With your autoimmune issues anytime someone is sick you will get it worse. I had Sinus infections after sinus infections finally got referred to ENT and he switch my Omeprazole to one in the morning and one at night. He also fixed my sinus openings what a difference! No more repeated infections. I sounded like Chucky on rug rats for an hour but was worth it!

If you have a struggling immune system it is a good idea to wear a mask when you go out or to have your loved one wear one if they are the ones working outside the home. I know that C*vid made it political to wear one but I am a former infectious disease nurse and it is just common sense for people with immune system problems. I see so many people saying they are sick over and over and I cannot understand why they would want to keep taking medication when there are many styles of N95? 🤷‍♀

Me and my dad got a cold in December and it was very mild. He just had mild symptoms and continued going to work no problem. I got it, couldn’t talk, in bed, had a horrible headache, couldn’t tolerate noise, had a cough and pain in my lungs( which was concerning because all of my chronic illnesses were triggered by bronchitis),had a fever, and couldn’t tolerate the pain so it was making me nauseous. Thankfully it only lasted a day, but I was ready to go to the hospital I felt so awful. I would have gladly been knocked out. In all my three years of being sick in bed that was one of the worst days I’ve had yet, and all from a mild cold. I had a cough for a few months afterwards. Just two weeks ago I went to the Metrodora institute to see my doctors, and on my last day there I got the stomach flu. Thankfully I had finished all my appointments. The next day I had to fly home and my mom was wheeling me back and forth to the airport bathroom to throw up. It was horrible! The blessing was that I didn’t crash hard from the trip when I got home. I think I crashed during the flu so all of the pain went there. And the jump from my immune system kept me from my ME/CFS crashing hard. I’ve had major gut issues. My gut was a one point so sensitive I couldn’t handle medication, so my holistic doctor killed the bacteria in my body with tinctures and such. It took longer, but it definitely worked and made my stomach issues actually bearable enough to eat. So sorry you have to deal with all this extra pain and annoying issues, that must be horrible. I’ll be praying for you Aimee.❤xx

Please take a good quality probiotic if you aren't already. Space it out at least 2 hrs from your antibiotic dose (antibiotics will kill the probiotic). If you are taking multiple antibiotics or taking them frequently, you are destroying all the good bacteria in your gut along with the bad. When I was around 25 or so I ended up having FIVE bouts of C.diff infections, which isn't common on young people. They attributed it to a heavy antibiotic course I took for a tooth extraction (I believe it was Ciprofloxacin). No other reason I should've gotten it, and I didn't really have fibro symptoms at that time. However that is one "traumatic event" that could've triggered my fibro. C. diff was literally the most painful experience I've ever gone through. I never rate my daily or flare-up pain on a 10 because I know what 10 feels like - screaming in agony in the ER feeling like I was going to die from sepsis. It was absolute hell. I had an FMT - fecal matter transplant - finally, and knock on wood, it finally stopped the recurring infections. I have taken probiotics daily ever since. I know the data is conflicting, but for this type of situation I would definitely recommend it. It can't hurt.

“Get things moving down there” - milk of magnesia, or magnesium citrate. Those are just laxatives that you can get at the grocery store or any pharmacy; you might already have one of those at home. Externally you can apply a teaspoon of castor oil as a tummy rub (note, it stains clothes). For a probiotic, I’ve mainly found that refrigerated liquid probiotics work much better than any of the capsules of dry powder. One example is Bio-K, I’m taking that now, it’s from Whole Foods market. Also kimchi works if you can tolerate the hot peppers. Good luck! Cheers 😊

Aww Aimee I’m sorry you have such a bad infection! This video is so relateable… I too am the one who gets a nasty sinus infection every time my family gets sick. 😒 I have a deviated septum & enlarged turbinate & also have more gunk on the right side of my face when I get them! + right sinus pressure that never goes away. 😅 I’ll do sinus rinses 2x daily with xylitol when I get them and that usually kicks it. I definitely try to avoid antibiotics whenever possible but I know sometimes you can’t. Do you work with a naturopath/functional MD? They can really help you with your gut (and everything else)! Mine has helped tremendously with all my issues (Hashimotos, mold illness, SIBO… etc.) Western doctors really have no clue when it comes to autoimmune stuff so I would really recommend looking into working with a functional doctor. They are expensive but it is WORTH IT!! Also love your perspective shift… going to use that when I get down about all my issues. 🧡 We do have so much to be grateful for even in the midst of so much pain. You’re amazing girl!!
