Wow, the view is amazing! I've been to Switzerland a couple of times because I live in Germany. But I never had such an beautiful view like on the Matterhorn. Have a nice trip and stay safe!

In fact, it is Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau that you can see in the foreground. In the background there are the Schreckhorn and behind that the Finsteraarhorn, which might resemble the Matterhorn a bit. The Matterhorn is located far behind these mountains, at a distance of about 86km (as the crow flies).

Hi thank you!! And my apologies for my late reply, but no I didn’t. Since it’s the smaller one you’re allowed to fly unless it’s a no-fly zone!

Hi! So nice to hear and so excited for you! We went by car to 'Jägerstübli Lombachalp' (a restaurant) and parked the car there. Just next to the restaurant you have the 'entrance' to start the hike up :)!

Hey Burcu, love the picturesque views and the video! I would be in Interlaken for 4 days, this summer 2021. I'd like to ask, what was your starting point for the Augustmatthorn hike? Was this super-difficult?

Where she starts is the usual start, you can drive from interlaken to Habkern by bus of by car. From there you have to travel to the Lombachalp. By car or with the small bus from the local sportshotel. Keep in mind it's a dayhike, so take your time! Have fun and enjoy the view!

@@krijndenhertog91 the "usual" start is harderkulm or coming from the other side the brienzer rothorn...however that's a T4 ridge hike (tannhorn even T5 category), it's 20km alpine hiking, so only advisable for experienced hikers

Hi! We parked our car at Jägerstübli Lombachalp and started from there! It was also our last day so we couldn’t start from ‘the other side’, but it would say our side of the Augstmatthorn was also already ‘hard’ and took 2 hours.
