I can't blame Thrawn one bit, I'd be scared of Vader's apprentice as well even if this is his light side variant. I think they have explained enough now to say outright Anakin was always Vader, the part of him that made him the Dark Lord of the Sith, that piece existed within him even as a Jedi, even as Ahsoka's master. Thrawn knows that Vader's relentlessness is instilled in Ahsoka, which terrifies him. This revelation finally makes sense as to why she can always beat him. It could have been anyone else in the galaxy, any other Jedi as her master, and its mid to low difficulty for Thrawn but Vader... you can't predict that, no amount of tactical knowledge can predict Vader. One does not simply prep for the Mortis God and his daughter.

Thrawn was asking how many ships there were as he wanted confirmation that Ahsoka was as impulsive as Anakin was. If she came alone then she's as impulsive as Anakin. If she came with a fleet then she isn't. It was entirely about trying to get a read on her weaknesses.

Why do people keep saying Thrawn was scared to learn Ahsoka's master was Anakin? That makes no sense and wasn't what was shown at all. Thrawn already knows that Ahsoka isn't as strong and skilled as Anakin was as he knows that Baylan had bested her before their arrivals. He fully expects Baylan to be capable of beating her again if needed as he's already done so once without even suffering any injuries. It's only later upon noticing that Baylan is NOT on the battlefield that he becomes concerned about Ahsoka being able to tip the battle strength wise like she did as now he doesn't have someone stronger than her. The look on Thrawn's face upon learning she's Anakin's Padawan isn't him being worried about Ahsoka's strength. He knows Baylan > Ahsoka so that's not an issue. It's him realizing what her weaknesses are. Thrawn realizes that she likely also has Anakin's weaknesses of impulsiveness, overconfidence, and blinding drive to save her friends. And she does. Asking how many ships are with her confirms this all as Anakin likewise would've come by himself just like Ahsoka did. Thrawn's just realizing what his plan needs to be and why upon figuring all this out he calls off the continuing space attack on her. He wants to give her the opening to escape and come planet side where he figures she'll rush to Sabine. Which she does. Not sure why there's any confusion about this when Thrawn reveals at the end that the battle wasn't a loss at all as it gave him what he really wanted which was time to prepare the ship to leave. He'd have liked to win the battle and defeat Ezra, Sabine, and Ahsoka once and for all, but it was always just a distraction to keep them away from him. Ahsoka reacted exactly as Thrawn expected Anakin's Padawan to have.

There is no reason for Vader to wipe out any trace of Anakin. After all Anakin is really famous it will be more suspicious if no name can be found on anything.

Exactly. Thrawn already knew Baylan was stronger than Ahsoka because he'd bested her before they'd ever arrived. There's no possible way Thrawn is worrying about Ahsoka being as strong as Anakin. Baylan > Ahsoka as far as Thrawn knows. This is even later reinforced in the episode as it's only upon noticing that Baylan isn't participating in the battle that he's worried about losing it as NOW he doesn't have anybody as strong as her. His reaction is about him trying to figure out if she also has Anakin's weaknesses. Not his strengths. It's why he asks if she's alone or with a fleet. Anakin would come alone. Upon realizing she does have Anakin's weaknesses, not strengths, he calls off the attack and lets her go to Sabine just like Anakin would rush to save his friends. Thereby keeping her away from him and his real plan of trying to by time to finish loading the ship. He'd have liked to have won that battle, but he literally says it wasn't his real goal which he won anyways. The only reason why there's any confusion at all about this is because there's so many Ahsoka stans that think she must be perfect and so of course Thrawn had to have been scared of her despite the fact that he literally thinks and expects Baylan to be stronger than her.

I think it’s likely Thrawn and his forces make it back to the known galaxy while Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra are stranded in Peridea. From the synopsis of The Skeleton Crew it sounds like they get lost in space as well so maybe they’re lost in Peridea too. So, The Skeleton Crew would be able to bring the good guys back to the known galaxy to fight Thrawn. The Skeleton Crew series is suppose to be tied into all of this somehow.

Mads had already played a fairly significant role in Galen Erso in Star Wars so I'm glad they didn't reuse him as that just causes needless confusion. The big problem with this Thrawn is his beer belly that keeps throwing me off. This doesn't fit Thrawn unless he's just let himself go in exile, which doesn't fit the lengths he's obviously gone to to keep their suits, armour, and ships still functioning. And presumably the lack of food on such a desolate planet. On the other hand though, every time I see it I get Hitler vibes so it's working I guess.

The other blue alien is the Pantoran Riyo Chuchi, the senator of her homeworld, Pantora. Pantorans are similar similar to the Chiss, except they have yellow eyes instead of red.

Because Disney payed 4 billion for star wars, and than gave JJ and Co. 1 billion per movie to make sequels, but forgot to pay a storywriter for 100k for three movies. And more important, JJ were the wrong choice from day 1, he killed star trek for me, because he never understood the core of star trek. He killed star wars, because he never understood the core of star wars.

I read these books and I really enjoy them however I watched a recent interview with Dave filoni and he says the only things that are Canon are the movies and shows, which means none of the books Comics are video games are Canon until they bring them in to the movies or shows

Baylan is going to go bad, Soka will JOIN Thrawn to fight whatever is on the planet, Ezra will die. Thrawn just wants Chiss to be safe and the galaxy to be stable; the big bad threatening the galaxy won't be him.

It is. I gave up after episode 5 I kept waiting for it to get better but it just got steadily worse. Ashoka was awesome in the Mandalorian but now she has the personality of a potted plant. Very disappointing.
