I saw Drew Gooden at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

9:20 I think cats want to do things they perceive as things "the pack" does, which is why they almost never touch things we get exclusively get for them. However, kind of a hack I found with my cat is that he's far more willing to give a new object a chance, and continue using it, if I cover that object with my dirty laundry for a few hours first. I did that for a cat bed that he showed no interest in and now he's consistently used it for over a year.

@AnaPie896I’m a vet tech and some animals don’t “need” a cone after a dental procedure, it’s mostly for the ones who won’t leave their face alone after having teeth pulled - they paw at their face, scratch it, etc. My own personal pets have had teeth pulled and never wore a cone afterwards, but some pets do need them. It’s always a good idea to have a cone just in case, so that’s awesome you’re getting one ahead of time! Better to do that than to risk them scratching their stitches out.

this video is like therapy for me. in April my girlfriend of nearly 4 years and I broke up, and she took her cat back home with her. he's a 10 year old long-haired ginger who was a typical ginger cat. a bit daft but so affectionate and funny. I loved Hector to bits and I was completely devastated when they left. for weeks I refused to even talk or think about it at all because I was so distraught. not even a week later, my other cat (at my parents' house) died. Miffy was my baby. she was a short and stout little black and white tuxedo cat who was painfully sweet but had very strong instincts when it came to other cats that weren't her brother. we got them when I was 16 and I was very mentally ill. the moment I saw her I was obsessed with her because she was so incredibly unusual. she had the ugliest nails on the chalkboard meow, but she made the cutest little noises and she always sat with one of her legs sticking out funny. she chose me as her favourite person almost immediately, and it felt like she was my cat soulmate in a weird sort of way. the night before she died, she was going up to her food/water trying to eat/drink, but she just couldn't do it because her kidneys were failing. I sat with her all night and cried, and then the next day we had to take her to be put down because she was just suffering. she had health issues since we got her at age 10 and she lived all the way til 19 years old. she was a very impressive cat and I miss her every day. then a month ago, her brother (also 19) died. it was really horrible because he was completely healthy but then a wound on his paw formed after his claw fell out, and it turned out to be cancer. he was called Mungo after the patron saint of Glasgow where I'm from. he was a massive brown and grey tabby with a white tummy, and he had big paws and a HUGE noggin. he could be antsy when things didn't happen on schedule as he was very particular, and he had the most expressive face of any cat I've ever met. he used to just listen to 2 people talk, and when one person stopped talking and the other started, he would turn his head towards them until the other person talked again and he would look back this is so long and probably nobody read this far but I really appreciate this video because it's been helping me deal with losing 3 cats in such a short time. I've watched this so many times since it came out and it always makes me feel better💜

We had to get most of our cat's teeth removed at one point and it was definitely a bonding experience. She couldn't groom her face but she figured out that she could lick our hands and groom her face by rubbing against our wet hands. It was so adorable... and probably sounds really weird to people who don't have cats 😂

Cat tents are great for enrichment! Cats are actually super bad for local ecosystems because of how many small animals they kill, the diseases they can carry, etc. but getting fresh air is super engaging for them. As long as you supervise your cars while they’re outside in tents, it’s the safest and best option.

I think I may have conditioned myself into falling asleep when I hear Drew’s voice, Pavlov style. I can’t usually fall asleep when a room is fully quiet (scared of my own thoughts), so I always leave KZbin videos playing on my phone in the backround. Big tip for the cat net make sure someone is always there so she can see them. When my cat first got in hers my mom walked around the corner to get something and I saw her through the window and she got really scared. And he would climb my desk, my headboard, the cupboards, literally anything else, so it's not as if he doesn't like to climb 😭 there's literally nothing going on in cat's minds. If you want your cat to use a new bed/cat tree I would recommend getting yours and their scent on it. Wear an old shirt to bed so it has your body odor and then leave it on (or rub it on) the new cat tree/bed, or brush your cat's fur and leave the loose fur on it. Cats operate almost entirely on smells when it comes to this kind of stuff!
