Base model subarus. That's all I'm saying. I drive a base model 2020 subaru impreza and I inherently get Apple carplay, which is awesome for playing music and setting up directions. But all the controls (heat, AC, wipers, temperature, etc.) are manual dials and the gears are still a manual shift as well. Which at first I thought was lame for a 2020 car, but I soon figured out was AWESOME. Easy and convenient with all the modernity necessary

I've been driving a 1999 Chevy Prizm, a very very tiny car, since I've learned to drive. Which is 11 years ago now. The thing costs $48 to insure. I'll literally never be ready for the culture shock of upgrading to a car even 10 years newer. Luckily i'm living completely paycheck to paycheck so I won't have to worry about that expense for a while. :)

Headlights in the USA are brighter because the way they are regulated. The test used to determine the brightness off headlights is so dumb, car engineers will GLEEFULLY tell you that they spend time and ablot of money. Making two spots in the light spread darker, TWO SPOTS DARKER. Thats right, we made headlights absolutely blind, nah, SCORCH your eyeballs at night. But kept an 2 inch square patch dark to pass tests.

The sticking point for me from the first season was how much they minimized Zuko's scar. Like, that thing was a huge, glaring mark across his face which made it so Zuko and the audience could not imagine Zuko without it. That's what made seeing younger Zuko so jarring because we for the first time had to see a character without something that we only ever saw as an integral part of them. And that's also what makes Ozai the big bad that he is. While the facelessness of Ozai in season one also helps build up what kind of an evil man he is, that's what makes it so shocking when we see how normal he is. When we realize that Ozai looks like everyone else, and his perfect face, just really, REALLY hammers home the reality of what he did to Zuko. Did Zuko, perhaps for a fleeting moment, think his father was trying to hold him gently? Or did Zuko just see and feel the fire? PLUS Zuko's scar being that large and prominent also just greatly adds to his character. It is what made people in the Earth kingdom trust him during exile because he was another person marked by the fire nation. It adds to his strength as a character, not only is he a sword-fighting master with dual swords, and a fire-bending master, but it does it likely without full ability to see or perceive depth. It adds to his body movements as we see he distinctly shields that side an doesn't lead with it, and how he unconsciously will sleep with his ear (which is so crumbled it looks half melted and most likely cannot process sound fully anymore either) to the ground so he can hear and protect himself. Something that stuck out to me when watching the series again a year ago was the following, 1. The way Zuko does not seem to own any mirrors even on his ship BECAUSE the scar is so large and such a reminder of his own perceived weakness that he can't bear to look at it. And 2. How after his field trips with Katara and Sokka, he starts sleeping with his unscarred side to the ground because he has finally found someone outside of his uncle that he trusts enough not only to not harm him but also to keep him safe whilst he is vulnerable. But I love Dallas Liu as Zuko, and his love and commitment to the role, as well as the change of the unit he saved being his ship crew. They just should not have changed something so HUGELY IMPACTFUL like that. Next Toph isn't gonna be blind or some shit
