This piece clearly lays out all my thoughts racing while playing Infinite and I couldn’t agree more. It’s crazy how much Infinite allows 343’s ideas to finally shine in a way that was noticeable in 4 and 5, yet not actually felt with controller in hand. Their evolution to the core helps bring the multiplayer and, by extension, the campaign into a new light that might make some stumbles here and there, but overall really showcases their testament to letting these systems bake alongside Halo’s appeal rather than in spite of it. Just amazing articulation on your end in conveying what I and so many others have felt with its launch, and here’s to many more years of the greatest Halo since 3!

Wiz really made a whole video essay to show off those no-scopes. Forreal though, Halo is always going to have a special place in gaming and it's cool to see you looking past the MTX issues and critiquing the game itself. Valorant and BRs haven't caught me either because their design heavily punishes mistakes and makes them way too sweaty for casual play.

Glad to hear all Halo fans are having a blast with this game and reliving their nostalgia in the modern age. Halo still ain't for me (yet), but I hope to rectify that in the future as I try out the MCC for real.

I just wanna say quickly to a new fan. You should try play halo 1 but if you find the gameplay in the older game tough, jump to halo 2/halo2 anniversary or 3 which feel instantly more modern than ce. That way you’ll get into halos general feeling better and understand the story at the same time. Play 4 next to get a taste of the newer games, don’t play halo 5 and take ODST and Reach however you’d like but certainly play halos 2 at least and 3 if you want to before ODST or reach. CE should also have been completed by the time u play ODST and reach.

It's been a ton of fun playing Infinite with you the last few weeks. I haven't had a long relationship with Halo but if there's one thing i've learned from it it's that Stuff like this is always worth it just for the ability to hang out with friends. See you on the battlefield!

@@yami122 Had a great time with it for about 3 months but the lack up update consistency really bummed me out. I'm looking forward to checking out the Winter Update though!

I don't think I've played Infinite since November due to the competitive mode and battle pass but I won't lie this really made me want to pick it back up again and see if my opinion has changed. Great video.

I'm super glad for you! I, too love the game. However most of my Xbox friends get frustrated to much by it's current issues. So I really hope 343 improves the game further, so I can have fun with my friends and Halo again.

Xbox game pass has sneaked up on me too. Only play 3 or 4 titles on it but they are all $60 games. AOE4 and Halo have hit my nostalgia hard

holy shit 12:11 lol you said 'controversial' and 'console' and i knew what you were about to say. i have friends that have dropped out of tournaments because they realized they have to relearn fps controls before the deadline. even having played, and knowing it's true, this point always makes me question if there's something _everyone else_ has missed about mouse and keyboard. definitely sharing this bit ith my friends that feel discouraged about having to use a controller in infinite.

I wish I was still enjoying Halo Infinite but multiplayer wise there's just not enough content to keep me engaged and the rank mode is just horrible with how progression works.

I mean, if you ignore Infinite having the worst servers of any game I've played on 2021, being extremely poorly optimized, having memory leaks that might literally crash your taskbar forcing you to reinstall it, not coming with exclusive fullscreen, giving a huge advantage to controller players to the point where the sniper has been proven to have negative Aim Assist while hip firing on MnK, having a sandbox dominated almost exclusively by the OP assault rifle, being plagued with desync issues, having some of the most expensive cosmetic stores in all shooter games, still having issues with battlepass progression, Big Team Battle being literally unplayable because of server-wide crashes, locking colours behind paywalls, having a SBMM system so bad that both pros and casuals feel like it's oppressive, the lack of content, the imbalance of vehicles in every mode, and other stuff, then yeah, it's a pretty fun game.
