I want to read 'The Pairing' so badly. As soon as I saw the stickers I knew it had to be that. RWRB is my favorite book but I didn't like their other works. I'd say give this one a shot because you never know, you might love this one even though you didn't like Red, White and Royal Blue

No! Despite what I said in the first clip the epilogue does spoil elements of legends and lattes and I think the full benefit comes from having read that first

I’m glad I decided not to continue on with Finlay Donovan, because the number one reason I didn’t much care for the first book was how her kids seemed to be shunted off to the side. I’m a mom of two, who were the same age as Finlay’s kids when I read it, and the depiction of how much time this SINGLE MOM actually spent with her kids was infuriatingly unrealistic. I know mystery readers are there for the mystery, not the parenting, but a LITTLE bit of Finlay as a mom would’ve been nice, especially since, as you said, her being a single mom solving a mystery whilst raising kids was how it was pitched. You know what raised those kids? All the toys they quietly played with upstairs while Finlay got on with things. Sorry, that is NOT what real motherhood is like!
