Don’t pull the stems completely out of ground leave a little bit so they will grow back again and again, also get a mesh bag so when you’re walking around you spread the spores then next time you’ll likely have more. Tip #2 Never leave them keep hunting them especially when they’re as old as the ones you’re finding, they can literally die in a day sometimes if they get hot or cold

@Flair, hey bud try filleting a chicken breast, stuff it with herb and garlic cream cheese, we add bacon bits and green onion to the cream cheese, u can also get rid of the bacon bits and wrap it in bacon if u want but i had yo cut back due to my salt intake. Then cut up some cauliflower, jusy lightly spray with some pam cooking spray, season it with smoked paprika some chili flakes or whatever seasoning you like. I also make corn with this and a side salad, m6 wife prefers a sticky corn and im more plain corn lol As a kid, we werent well off. My parents however did get bags upon bags of mushrooms. In the summer time we use to sautee them with a boat load of pepper and a bit of salt and obviously unsalted butter. Drain them and then fry in a pan for an additional 3 to 5 mins. We would get plain old white bread or Hawaiian rolls and spread mayo, put the mushrooms on it with more pepper i liked my hot with pepper. And all the kids in the neighborhood would come over for hot mushroom sandwiches. We did this for 7 or 8 yrs til we moved my neighborhood friends and i still talk about it to this day.

@Flair have you considered making a double deckered treehouse octagon shaped with stairs for hunting? Lots of windows and maybe a nice rope/wood bridge leading to another small platform that isnt covered. Frame up underneath and use it for storage to hide the vehicles, or bikes etc. You could add power and add portable power stations or battery boxes for phones, fairy lights for Brooklyn . Make some benches or put some chairs in there and do a pulley system for heavier things and for Brooklyn as she grows. It'll be a safe space for her but also a good place for everyone to hunt up off the ground. And we all know Brooklyn would also love the use of a treehouse as well.

You want to use a hooked pocket knife or pinch them off. The one you pulled up had a root-like structure with a fuzzy white mold look which is the mycelium that you don't want to destroy. You should use a wicker basket or mesh bag something breathable so your harvest can breathe and won't rot so fast. Also when harvested it sends out spores to survive when threatened to replant itself. You can also do a controlled spore release when suffocating mushrooms in order to collect spores to grow in certain spots on your property.

You can seed a patch of land with morels so they'll always grow there, You need to forage a bunch first then create a shroom slurry with them and then burn, yes burn as in light on fire, a small space of land that stays relatively moist in the spring and then spread the slurry around the burnt land. With any luck the high acidity soil should be good to seed the morels for next year. Make sure you're not harvesting false morels, they should all be hollow inside.

What the vet essentially said is if one of your animals get slightly injured they can't compete for food because you don't feed them enough grain. Keep and feed them separately or feed them more grain. You literally have a huge camel, cow, multiple mini-donkeys and goats with turkeys and ducks and when you feed them grain you barely cover the bottom of your feeder. That's not enough for all those animals
