Check Out the Bicycle Here: bit.ly/3upBqRs It isnt very often that I am blown away by a bike, but honestly for everything that this bike is and everything it offers all for $2300, it is hard to find a carbon fiber road non e-bike for 2000 with integrated carbon fiber bars.... The best way to describe this product it is literally so close to how a stock normal bicycle feels that it is such a good thing, too many times company's do to much and make an e-bike clunky heavy and not functional for everyday use, if this battery on this bike died I would be very confident to be able to ride this bike like a stock road bike. I am going to do some fun videos with this bike, but for now me and the guys at the shop are having a blast playing with this bike and testing it out for top speeds and hopefully in the future I am going to have a race against one of my guys in the shop who is a novice on the bike against me and see who wins. Very nice product from Ride1up and from the literal packaging when I first saw it to the finishes of the bike to the frame and bars and how everything was so user friendly for the ebike they did a great job including the price point of this bike.

Thanks for the video. I’m an aging cyclist and an ebike gives me the opportunity to keep on riding since I started riding road bikes 52 years ago. I live in Nova Scotia and there’s hardly a flat road here at all so the hills just keep getting harder and harder as I age and having a hard time to maintain my power numbers. Thanks again for introducing a road ebike with great features and fantastic price!

I use my Orbea Gain e-bike for my "early season build-up" since I live in the mountains with many gradients in the teens. It's nice having the electric assist available if my fitness falls a bit short of my desire to put in the miles. The CF Racer1 looks to be a tremendous value and nearly a third less in price as my Orbea.
@madisonsinclair51237 ай бұрын
Holy Cow. I ride an electric pinarello with similar specs that cost $7k. This thing is a steal. The smaller battery likely also makes the bike much lighter. As for the range, anyone who rides an e-bike eventually figures out that you can't run the battery the full trip. That's the blessing and curse of electric road bikes. Mine is a real beast with the motor turned off. But I tend to keep the system powered down until I actually need it for the hills. The main goal is to save the juice for the ride home. By that time you're kind of exhausted and having the privilege of a pedal assist is a real blessing.

WOW! AMAZING! Can't wait to see the more in depth testing. I just looked up the specs, this bike is amazingly spec'd. It comes with a 250 Watt-Hour Battery and the "add on" 250 WH battery is only $220. That is a total of 500 Watt-Hour with both Batteries. One negative on this bike is that it only comes in 2 sizes, 1 of them has a 545mm-top tube, and the other one has a 572mm top tube. For me, 545mm TT with the 90mm stem it comes with, is a bit on the short side for me, but then again, I can take out some Headset spacers to make the Reach/Top-Tube effectively 10-20mm longer if I wanted to (with the same 90mm stem).

I have their Gravel Roadster. Put wide flat bars and a long stem on it, thing rips. These are great bikes. One thing - nobody is climbing anything for any decent distance on this thing. Straight up. Body weight is huge. And this thing on Level 5 to climb will not last anywhere near the stated range. Flat, Level 2-3 for a lightweight person, sure you’ll get 20+ miles easy. But that dries up quick with more weight at higher assist levels. Really cool bike though, the future of e-bikes will be badass as these get better.

The problem I see across the industry is proprietary batteries. Specifically with new companies. If the company bellies up then what with the replacement pack? You’re left with a heavy bike that nobody will want. There should be a battery pack design that is standard across all e-bikes, companies can design the casing however they want but the battery packs should all have the same dimensions and compatibility so they are repairable/replaceable. We need to marry the standardization of say AA, AAA, C, D etc. batteries with the latest battery tech.
@reallifescience20699 ай бұрын
The cells inside are standardized, so you could always repair the battery by sending it to a battery repair company. There is no way for bike companies to design their frames, electronics and housings with the same fit battery. You don't realize how large the batteries are. The downtubes would all have to look basically the same. I understand the dream, but it is not realistic at all.
@JayLato9 ай бұрын
@@reallifescience2069 then there could be levels of standardization such as light, medium, heavy, commuter, cargo, then manufacturers can have their pick at frame design based on what their range goals are. You don’t put a D sized battery in a toy made for AAA because the standard allowed the manufacturer to choose the proper fit for their product.

@Questioneverything729 ай бұрын
Great look for an ebike. Looks and feels like a road bike. But not sure who is this for ? For commuters? I don’t think you can use it much for group rides. Or catching up with cyclist friend. Because 250 watt is not much , so battery is gonna die quickly after + %6-8 climbs. I guess range will be 15-20 miles with climbing. (1000ft per 10 mile route) So they can’t really use it for intermediate or higher level group rides. And major issue is no option to replace battery with a spare one on the road? So I would say this is good for commuting or recreational use and the low price justifies it. But it is not good for +20 mile ride and catching up with other cyclists. I do many rides with my ebiker friend who has a 1000 watt ebike with 45 mile battery range. And he carries spare battery for our longer rides.

@@Shadowboost I know but that’s not how it works and you are making a mistake of just adding numbers 1)E-bike is heavier. This one not much only 28 LB 2) that 250 watt engine doesn’t exactly translate to 250 watt you get on your pedaling power meter. Anyone who has e-bikes knows this. You can test it for yourself and you will see . Anyways for a slow rider to catch up with a faster friend on a climb they have to get max output of this bike (250 watts), which drains the battery very quick.
