Cycling the world - Europe: 173 episode
In this episode of my round-the-world bike tour, I set off from Montpellier after a few days of rest at a Warmshowers host, joined by a fellow bike traveller, Orianne ( / oriannedrouet ), from France. Together, we rode through the beautiful Camargue National Park, stopping to admire the flamingos and spend some time on the beach. We camped near a lighthouse in the heart of the national park, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The following day, we parted ways in the late afternoon, and I continued on to Marseille after two successful wild camping nights.

They told us they dont live there, volunteers are rotating every week or every other week. It's a nice place to spend a week or so. Lots of birds and flamingos.

Hi Davide! The oldest university in France is not Montpellier (1289) but La Sorbonne in Paris (1150) ;) (still not as old as the university of Bologna, 1088, or Oxford, 1096)

The spot outside Marseille? Yeah that one left me puzzling too, it was just a small park outside a village. Have I seen the sign I would hidden in the trees but from where I entered there was no signs as confirmed by the guy.

Montpellier, France, and Montpelier, Vermont, same name, slightly different spelling. It is the also the capital of Vermont and the least populated state capital in the United States. Both places are said to be very nice.
