A garage is what you need, I recently moved and finally got a garage. No more asking to use a garage. Playing in the dirt isn’t fun, and the cold really sucks, but got to do what you got to do to get stuff done. Bmw plastic in cold weather... forget about it.

Now every morning I head out the door to work I hit the clicker and up the door goes. I appreciate having a two-car garage every single day of the week.

I have to say the N54 always scared the shit outta me with the sheer magnitude of work required if something like turbos or a water pump were to fail. You make it look like average "9 to 5" stuff. I know the video is edited and all but I respect your no-nonsense approach to the task at hand. Glad the ol' girl is alive and well.

I'm not certain I agree. @VehicularDIY is super talented and explains what he's doing (and why) very well. But he is really inspiring to watch, and hopefully copy some of the work he did to his E90N54 on my own E90N54. Maybe not the AT to MT conversion or the full engine swaps.

i would recommend taking that crank seal off and just make sure your pulleys are good. people have had bad experiences with it rubbing against the crank pulley and breaking off

Kies motorsports has a very nice version of the crankshaft seal protector with no issues with noises and fits n55,n54.

Nice work on the new motor. Kies Motorsports sells a crank seal plate that is more robust, and less likely to rub on start up.

I had the same issue with the crank seal plate, just loosen it and when your tightening it make sure it’s pressed against the seal. Noise went away after

you got it MASTER Why dont you use a dual mass fly wheel? Warming up temperature must be 30 minutes before floor it, not only oil but also all the pieces even more on winter. The right oil and service time for E85 Congratulations BimmerN53

they are coded in ecu. so if same injectors were used in same order you don't have overwise if they were taken from donor you need them coded. In some cases the car will start and run but not well.

I’m considering pulling my engine for the first time to send to a builder to replace rod bearings and a crank. Pretty intimidating job. Curious how I can learn every step to take as most diy videos are time lapsed and sort of hard to grasp everything. How did you learn?

Every video is valuable and really does a great job of cataloging the work you have done and research you've learned from. This vid was crazy good even though it was a montage of an engine being re-accessorized before reinstalling it. But, it shows your range of skills and the ease of transitioning from stage to stage in the process. You make it look way too easy. Great work again!
