I’m sorry you went through this. My ex bf had a guy friend who we moved in with as roommates with our children. I ended up being harassed by this guy after he said they had been gay lovers and my whole world crashed down on me. I've been dating an openly bi man for 3 months and it's been nice to be away from the apps. I hope his girlfriend has found someone else too. It's not just Grindr, there's a web app called Sniffies where you can set up cruising and orgies. Someone had set up an orgy near my house with like 40-50 men meeting up there. Yuck yuck yuck. Even if you try your hardest, there's no way to be 100% sure that all those men were STD-free, especially with 40-50 ppl the odds basically guarantee that there's gonna be someone with some kind of STD there. Also saw guys from Grindr on Sniffies being much more wretched on Sniffies than they would dare to be on Grindr. I hadn't hooked up for almost a year before I met my boyfriend cuz my body count is kinda wild, not triple digits, but high enough that statistically it was getting very risky to continue hooking up especially considering these new strains of STDs going around.
