I actually started my locs when you started yours. I ended up combing that set out at around 9 months and big chopping. Then I started another set and ended up combing that set out back in May of this year. With both of my sets I learned a ton of patience and found a new love for myself but I now know that locs aren't for me. I don't regret either journey though because I've become so much better because of them. I look forward to seeing your new journey with your loose hair ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing this! Today is actually my two year locversary and I can not tell you how much you’ve helped me through my journey. You’ve been *such* an inspiring and authentic possibility model to follow. I’ve greatly appreciated your transparency and attention to detail! I never thought about getting locs before and truly pursued getting them for convenience. Many times, second guessing my decision and often times working through tough moments of adjustment to the new look (up until April of this year when I got color lol). It wasn’t until I found your page that I really I felt confident in being able to still be creative and a baddie, while navigating the nuances of this very unique hair journey. And you continue to do so with this video! I started my loc journey with a definitive end in mind. I’m so happy to be able to have this to refer to when that time comes. Shoutout to you! And wishing you many dynamic journeys, love. 😊🫶🏾 SBS Gang locked in, ain’t no switching up! 🙌🏾

For months now I have been struggling with how my locs make me look. I am in my 2nd year loc’d. I love my locs just didn’t like the flat look on the crown of my head. I have been whining about it for a good minute now, I want a fuller look. Today I decided to stop talking/whining and take action! I’ve been contemplating cutting it all off and starting over. As I was watching this video I combed out one loc. yaaaay!! I wish I thought about this sooner!! I’m like that too I have done EVERYTHING to my hair. I’m not afraid to embrace change. 😁 Thanks for the inspiration to go for it. You look amazing with or without locs and your skin is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 all the best on your new journey.

@@YashemaEHaley because this 2nd round my hair was so much more healthy. I’m making it my mission to make sure I keep a great regimen and just embrace my choice in being loc’d. I enjoyed being loc’d my first round, but like I said I started missing my loose natural again, but I quickly began missing my low maintenance loc life and the styles. So my goal this time is just to go as long as I possibly can in this journey.

Congratulations to you 🎉!! I just combed out my third set of locs a few days shy of my first locversary about a month ago. It is definitely a labor of determination and love 😂. I said I wasn’t combing out another set of locs but most of my hair was almost down to my boobs so I refused to cut it lol. I had an undercut and a shaved side prior to combing out the 2nd set and rolling into the 3rd set, so my hair length is funky and I’m having to style my hair so I can blend it all together. I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do with your loose natural hair now 🩷.
