I Completed Simply Piano! (now what?)

Hello! I completed the entire course on the Simply Piano app. It took me a total of 18 months, I previously did a 6-month video, so this is almost me at 18 months.
These are some of my tips for the app, on helping your learning, testing on how much I know about chords/notes etc, and also what I'm doing to do next... any tips?

I'm a couple months in and I love this app! So much more fun to play alongside backing tracks rather than just playing by yourself. I'm also really impressed with how well it has taught me to sight read. It has some drawbacks though... Whenever I get around to finding a real teacher I'm sure that I will struggle with posture, dynamics, and even rythym to an extent. The way the notes are fed to you on a moving belt is a crutch that I worry I've become too reliant on. Overall, I would definitely recommend the app to any beginner. Just know that it can't teach you everything, and is probably best used in combination with other learning methods.

So I'd say around 6 months I reached pre advanced only because I was spending 12 hours on the app a day not literally but majority of my time went to it... I then put forth most of time to the sheet music portion and its very useful however when trying to take that next step beyond simply piano was a bit difficult because I became accustomed to not cheating, however but taking advantage of hearing the note and the app recognizing what I'm playing... so when playing pieces I purchased to learn it was a hill to climb just because I wasn't completely developing my sight reading as I should have but after I got over that hill I can say simply piano in a year and 2 months has set me up as pretty decent pianist but now its on the induvial to cultivate the basics and continue learning past simply piano but I love that app and will always appreciate it for the lessons it taught me

I'm about 2weeks in, and have learnt more from simply piano than in over 30 years of tinkering around. I was playing music by ear before which had gone well, and knew some notes but not their names. I got 30 day trial of it with a Rickman keyboard I'd bought. As a very visual learner I love everything about it. The reward things they do really help with motivation. Shocked that already I'm exploring 2 handed playing. It really helped watching your video as someone who has spent more time with the app. Yep I'm now feeling more confident about signing up for a year of this app, see where I can get to.👍

Congratulations on so much work and music making! I actually came here because I was looking for "what do Simply Piano graduates do after they finish with the app?" as I've played for 35 years and still can't keep up with all the amazing music I am keen to learn! Did you ever pick up "Mia & Sebastian's Theme"? There are so many wonderful arrangements of it, depending on your comfort level!

Hey! I'm commenting to do something similar. Did the free trial about 8 months ago and loved it and just had things going on. Anyways if things go as planned I'm going to do a whole progression video on my channel for a year. Left a like and subd.

Also, what size tablet should I buy for Simply Piano? Is an 8 inch ok or will a 10 inch be much better?
