@@spookyscarygraviton5944 Well on our side of the fence, Japanese is harder haha. If we compare Japanese to say Dutch or German, the Japanese is much harder to learn, same for the opposite, for a Japanese person, Mandarin or Korean would be easier to learn than English.

@@Elitist context: Mormon missionaries will often be randomly assigned to where they'll be active. If you get sent to a country that predominantly speaks not your language, you go through a 6-8 week course to learn to preach and hold basic conversations in the assigned country. There's actually a story of one Missionary who was a convert from, I believe Brazil, but I could be wrong, who got assigned to some random country like Bulgaria. There weren't exactly many resources between the two languages, so they ended up teaching him English first so they could teach him the language of the country they were sending him to

I liked the part of speaking English with a Japanese accent. Actually, as a language teacher, I encourage my students to find videos of people from the target language who try to speak in my students' native language. Listening and imitating the accent and grammar mistakes makes them aware of what to pay attention to in pronunciation and it gives them already a feeling for the grammar structures of the target language.

I happened to have his channel open in another tab and noticed that he had just uploaded like 5 minutes ago (at the time). I clicked on the video and gasped when you popped up. This was great, I'd love to see more of this type of video. Maybe do a collab with a Japanese youtuber sometime too *tip for the subs, try and centre align the text. Other than that the editing is top tier

Can I just say thank you for your videos... I really find them inspiring. They make me want to go learn more Japanese. (Too bad I'm broke and cannot afford most things to learn it)

You gotta do one with LeLe Farley from the US (he's on youtube). His Mandarin pronunciation is probably the best I've heard from a non-Chinese person, but even more impressive is his vocabulary, sentences, proverbs, etc. I think he studied acting at a Chinese university or something and almost had his own show in China. He recently got into youtube so I think he might be open to this kinda thing.

Matt picking up the ladies. I went to Japanese school for 6 years. I am originally from Oahu. I would go to my regular elementary, and right when school was out I would walk across the street and go to Japanese school. Sadly, I forgot how to read, write, or speak Japanese since I moved to California :(
