If you get sent to a country that predominantly speaks not your language, you go through a 6-8 week course to learn to preach and hold basic conversations in the assigned country. There's actually a story of one Missionary who was a convert from, I believe Brazil, but I could be wrong, who got assigned to some random country like Bulgaria. There weren't exactly many resources between the two languages, so they ended up teaching him English first so they could teach him the language of the country they were sending him to

In case you still don't know what that means: Basically foreigners in Japan keep getting this praise when they speak Japanese, and people are upset because they realize they aren't that good and feel like people are just trying to be nice/not actually mean they are good. I liked the part of speaking English with a Japanese accent. Actually, as a language teacher, I encourage my students to find videos of people from the target language who try to speak in my students' native language. Listening and imitating the accent and grammar mistakes makes them aware of what to pay attention to in pronunciation and it gives them already a feeling for the grammar structures of the target language.

Just a little tip about VR Chat in general, for the people that are actually using VR headsets it gets a bit uncomfortable when tracking somebody moving around tonnes, especially laterally across their field of view when you're up close to them, I've pulled my neck trying to follow some very figity people before. His Mandarin pronunciation is probably the best I've heard from a non-Chinese person, but even more impressive is his vocabulary, sentences, proverbs, etc. I think he studied acting at a Chinese university or something and almost had his own show in China.
