People don’t tend to name things they’re going to eat. So that’s why I was very confused that she was going to eat John Snow. I’m glad she didn’t. 😊

Try putting a smaller bird inside your Turkey next time, like a Cornish hen. All the flavor/juices go into the bigger bird and it has the illusion of being fancy.

My family and I smoked our turkey this last Thanksgiving for the first time and it was amazing! We used a pellet smoker and didn't even do a brine! Also I stuffed it with hm cornbread stuffing which ALSO got smoked and it was so incredibly good.

you could make a compound butter with your Midwest garden herbs and fly in special order some European or New Zealand butter because theirs is very complex, it would go well with herbs, let it sit overnight put the butter under the skin use like 2 pounds of butter? Taste it after you made the compound butter.

I always do brining, butter under the skin, and aromatics on the bottom. It's how my papa taught me, though I do mix up the seasonings. We also do the cheese cloth method, but with a butter mixture, and it is AMAZING every time.

I prepared my turkey the exact same way last Thanksgiving. Butter in hands and everything. Only thing is I used foil over the top. And I cooked mine overnight for 9 hours and it was absolutely amazing.

1 pound (460 grams) salted butter, softened 1 teaspoon fine sea salt 1 tablespoon (5 grams) coarse ground pepper 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce or Pickapepper sauce 3 cloves garlic, smashed 1 lemon, zested and juiced 1/2 cup (14 grams) parsley leaves 1/4 cup (7 grams) sage leaves 2 tablespoons (5 grams) fresh thyme leaves I didn’t add parsley and just used whatever amount of herbs I wanted and it was good

Also, that cooked turkey looked beautiful omg🤤 My worst thanksgiving was when my grandpa decided to make the deviled eggs with miracle whip and made apple stuffing instead of regular. Apple stuffing doesn’t work with my turkey, stuffing, mayo sandwiches which imo is the best part. Now that he’s gone, I would love to have that thanksgiving back

I always loved sticking around (and still do!) to watch either my mom or grandma prep the turkey and giblets. I haven’t prepped a turkey myself yet but I help make a lot of the other food and homemade dinner rolls :3 I always love helping make food and make it more on my own now for others to enjoy! I also really like eating some of the gibs (especially the heart and liver) and giving some to my cats. I made the mistake of leaving the neck out just for a tiny bit on the counter and I found it on the floor :[ 😂 I love your videos! :D

I'm not vegan, but I lived with my Aunt who is vegan for a year, and we made home made mock duck for thanksgiving. It actually turned out super good, plus it was fun to make. Kind of like turkey, it's all about how you prepare it. It's basically just pure gluten, but with enough spices and a tasty broth, I actually liked it better than most turkeys I've had.
