This song is one of the vocaloid songs that I just keep coming back to, and Mafumafu's cover of it is incredible. As someone who struggles a lot with my mental health, this song has helped me cope so much since I first heard it. It has beautiful and complex lyrics that push you to keep going.

When I found this song, it was 3am with bloody wrist from 3 cuts. It was so dark and alone back then. Then by sheer coincidence, youtube recommended me, as if it was comforting me. I bawled and sobbed and listened to it on repeat the whole dusk. But the cuts stopped. It was the only thing that pulled me back from death.

I love the lyrics and this song, the meaning behind everything in the song is so devastating yet a comfort for me, I know I'm not alone in what if gone through and what I'm still struggling with, but no matter how many times I listen to this song, the raw emotion you can hear in the singers voice, no matter whos covering this song, is so impactful. The fact you can hear something resembling pain in alot of this version, it adds meaning to the song and the lyrics. It's so beautiful yet painful to hear ♥️♥️ (Bad at talking sheje sorry for my terrible grammar-)

Yes that’s exactly how I feel too! You worded it perfect. It’s one of those songs that you just want to cry you can relate to it so much, but at the same time by sharing the pain it gives you strength and reminds you that your not alone in your pain. Something that never fails to surprise me about this song is how simple the difference between writing live and just live was in the video watching it rewrite itself at the end just hits me hard for some reason because usually a single word doesn’t feel like it would make a huge difference but there that single different character it shows carried a weight that I wouldn’t think of otherwise and that was beautiful to me

This song really means a lot to me as someone who has dealt with suicidal thoughts for years and still does now. I think thats a thing about the vocaloid community- its full of many songs that make you feel understood, and told that youre not alone. One i really enjoy in that way too, and that isnt very well known, is Marche au Pas by Voxwave, using the voicebank Alys. Its in french, though there are subtitles in many languages, and about being transgender (specifically about a nonbinary individual) And as someone who a few years ago realised that i was trans and nonbinary, that song is something thats followed me throughout this whole journey and its very important to me. Id really recommend giving it a listen as well!

Sorry for the slow reply... I feel the same way. Being away from home, and now corona, times are hard and when I heard this I became sad, but also a relatable sad and it helped me take hold of my feelings. i am sorry to hear you deal with suicidal thoughts. It is one of the hardest things a person can have to deal with. But the people that dont go through with it are the most strongest people in this world. Thank you for the reccomendation I will react to Marche au pas soon! Just for you ;) Living in Japan I can honestly saw I dont understand transgender and non binary that much still. But I am willing to learn. Thank you for the recommendation and I am sure I will enjoy it :)

@@JJWalters Thank you so much for replying! It means a lot, and im glad that although times are hard the song did something for you as it does for me. I think most of all its about telling people that theyre not alone in this and that keeping on living is always gonna be brave and the right choice. Thank you also for your kind words, im definitely doing much better than i was years ago thanks to the help ive had and therapy, but it doesnt just go away. And knowing that others go through the same thing and keep on living is comforting, which is why these types of songs are important, i think. I cant wait to see your reaction!! The video has some really nice art and though it deals with some harsh themes of bullying (which, whenever you do react to it, id recommend putting up some kind of warning for bullying and some transphobia at the start of the video), it also is very beautiful. If you have any questions about being trangender and/or nonbinary im also willing to answer! I imagine that not living/experiencing it can make it hard to understand, so im very grateful that youre willing to learn more about it, as not everyone does.

Not sure if this is 100% true, but I heard somewhere that MafuMafu was bullied mainly because of his high pitched voice whenever he sang (which I think is something that should be praised, I mean not a lot of males can do that). Due to the bullying, MafuMafu became suicidal and attempted suicide. I believe he made this song after these experiences when he learned his own lesson and realized that it'd be better if he continued to live and didn't waste his life through taking his own. (Edit: I know that there is more to the story, so I might've just forgotten the other details lol)

As Japan becomes more and more recent years, the suicide rate is only going up. If I whine, I'm going to worry. You have to be patient. You have to do something about it. I don't want to say it's a national trait, but I think the reason why the suicide rate is not decreasing is because we worry about others before ourselves. For a time, I developed a stomach ulcer due to depression and stress, and my chronic illnesses got worse. I spent many months in the hospital. I was always smiling and pretending to be fine to my close friends, nurses and doctors. But when I heard this song, I realized that even if I wanted to die or was in pain, I shouldn't let go of my life. Don't give up. This song gave me such courage. I'm sorry for the long delay. Please take care of yourself, Lord. Take care of yourself and do your best. I'll be cheering for you. I translated it, so I think there are some funny parts.
