I just realised, every My Story Animated is the same. Think about it, there's a character with a wacky gimmick who goes to school and there's a rich kid who bully's them. And there's a bunch of parent issues, always parent issues. Then they meet a cute kid at school who has some relation to the rich kid. Through in an unrealistic plot and a couple twists, maybe the cute kid is a scam, or the parents are evil, or the teacher is homeless (remember that) and then you've got a classic My Story Animated. Well that seems to be the recipe for the ones that have a child for the main anyway. We do get a weird one sometimes but this is it most time. Oh and buff diglet.

@emll61433 жыл бұрын
I have something similiar to that. I always start laughing when I'm under pressure, nervous, or really sad. It's a coping mechanism I evolved from god knows where and it made my life very stressfull when I discovered my grandma had cancer, all the time we talked about it I laughed, and I did that too at her funeral one time. It wasn't too loud but you could notice it easily. I always did that when my parents were arguing with me over something, and they got angry because they though I wasn't taking them seriously. And when I got a 3 on my report card I did the same thing, and my dad was furious. Nowdays they understand it's not something I do voluntarily and don't get so mad anymore, but they still remind me it's inconvenient and I should try to hold it when I can. The point I wanted to get to is; this story could be true if it wasn't traight up exagerated to it's maximum. And that's why it's funny

I do this occasionally. Sometimes my face just starts smiling when something really sad happens. I try to control it, but I don't like it. I'm not sure what exactly it is that makes me do that. It's kind of weird. There are the times when I cry happy tears, like in my favorite manga when the jerk rival finally apologized to the protagonist for bullying him throughout his childhood, but that's pretty normal, I think.

slightly unrelated, but I don't think smiling when someone tells you something that should be sad should be viewed as bad. it happens a lot, and laughing/smiling inappropriately is just human nature, filling in the awkward silence after the news and a reaction to feeling awkward or not knowing how to feel. if you tell someone something bad happened to you and they're trying to hold back laughter (unless they're a jerk) they're not laughing because it's, it's because they don't know how to react.

1. What the hell did they come home to? Her father driving over the paintings like, what? 2. I’m sure that other people have it worse than I do but i have emotional dysregulation (medical term) where I’ll sometimes have the inappropriate reaction for something. Laughing when I’m scared or sad, feeling repulsed when people start praising or complimenting me. So I don’t think it’s some strange problem and I met many people who accepted me for it. (Example I laughed for like twenty minutes when hedwig died in HP)

I agree, reaction videos get a bad rep for often not being transformative enough, and even though Joinen is great at adding commentary, showing the whole reaction will squeeze just a little more out of what he adds to the original content.
