Cutting up my LP640 is not something I ever thought I'd be doing. But check out how awesome it looks with the LMGT1 Reiter Engineering front end. These parts are from the actual 2008 GT1 Le Mans R-GT Murcielago. All I've got to do now is 'simply' make the suspension, steering & doors work...

It's how most supercars from that era were built. Mine is 12 years old & wasn't looked after very well before I owned it, so I'm happy to go through it all as part of the 'chopping up' process & make sure it'll last at least another 12 years.

The suspension is actually not that challenging as I've done this type of thing loads & really enjoy it. The clearance on the body, getting the doors to work again & ensuring it's really strong is the real challenge.

So pleased to see actual engineering going on. Too many people would have just made the body kit fit and bodged the suspension and called it something like “my gt1 Lamborghini race car” but it’s interesting to see someone who’s prepared to do this properly. Built in Bologna , bettered in Birmingham 👍🏼👍🏼

I'm currently building BMW 1 series with a full BTCC kit and i'm experiencing exactly the same issues regarding the angle of the arms and how low the car sits etc. I'm getting custom subframes made up to raise all the suspension pick up points up 3 inches. It's great to watch these videos so i can nick some of your ideas lol

Take a look at kit cars like mk indy rr for ideas on the arms with fully rose jointed knuckles as a idea of what you can do for suspension and arms.

It should be pretty much stock. That's the whole point of doing it this way. As long as top & bottom pivot points are moved the same amount & you don't move them inboard or outboard the camber curve will be the same. Same goes for bump steer, as long as the pivot points on the tie rod & tie rod end are moved the same amount as the upper & lower arms it should be okay.
